The local vets and ourselves thought my old Labrador was having repeated strokes. But making a miracle recovery each time.

Turned out she simply had a chronic frog licking habit.

Apologies to any French Canadians for mentioning frogs and Labradors btw.

And maybe cane toads have evolved to be that ugly in an attempt to stop people weeing on them.

A few things:

This thread has brought to mind the time when I was accused of being racist.

A teaching colleague told me that a student had grumbled about me as he arrived to her lesson late.

I'd seen the lad dawdling and chivvied him along by asking him where he should be. He protested that he was going to my colleague's lesson right now and I'd replied "I should cocoa".

Alas, he thought I was calling him 'Cocoa'

I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt for misunderstanding, but now you have so graciously accepted Rowan's apology and then gone on to name the posters who used a totally normal and acceptable turn of phrase as being racist, I am really truly appalled.
