Dickens namechange comp: please come and give your nickname an --Oliver-- twist!

Hello. It's Dickens Bicentennial Day tomorrow (7th Feb), and we'd like to mark Charles Dickens' 200th birthday with a special Dickens Namechange competition.

All you need to do to enter is change your Talk nickname in a Dickens-ish way - with a ref to one of his novels or characters, for example - and then post on this thread to give your new name a twirl.

Top marks will go to those whose changes are the funniest, cleverest, Dickens-iest Oliver twist on their current Talk nickname.

There'll be some ("ever so 'umble") prizes for the best namechanges posted between now and midnight tomorrow.

So, off you go! Suffice to say, we have great expectations...

BettyFRIGGden · 07/02/2012 16:49

That's brilliant cervix

BettyFRIGGden · 07/02/2012 16:50

But then maybe I don't get a say in the 'is this to obscure' line of inquiry...

CD referred to himself as The Inimitable.
Modesty was not his strong suit!

Don't normally partake in namechanging (unless I need to Grin)

CotherMuckingTwistedFunt · 07/02/2012 19:20

I don't really know much about Dickens so this is the best I can do.

MissKittyMiddleton · 07/02/2012 19:38

I can't do anything clever with my name. So I have Dickensed it. Or should that be Dickensianed it? Dickensian'd? Confused

I was KatieMiddleton.

I imagine MissKittyMiddleton to be a kindly woman who has taken on a motherly role to the poor orphans who are part of a geriatric Jew's gang of thieves and beggars. Sort of like Karren Brady on The Apprentice. If you will.

GreatEXPATations · 07/02/2012 19:48
