MN slow?

Anyone else having problems with MN loading today?

Yes, and loading very long threads is the worst

Is there any solution to this yet?

Please can you fix this. Please.

I'm having to keep 2 MN windows open so that one is loading whilst I read the other. I just keep giving up though as its so annoying being faced with a blank screen and a page that won't load.

I know I sound desperate but I'm at home with a broken ankle so MN is much needed at the mo!

Tech you were asking last night what adverts, if any, was it happening on - my laptop doesn't do adverts and on the pc it has locked up at the moment with the MN babies guide banner flashing away happily and is only showing up to the purple "advanced search" button. Rest of the screen blank. I am on another tab doing this!

I've spent ages trying to read threads again tonight and have decided just to give up.

When I click to open MN I get a blank page for ages. Eventually I get a blue advert for, I think, a babies book. It is taking up to ten to 15 minutes to open up AIBU. Primary Ed is quicker but still not loading normally.

Even if I manage to open a thread I have the same problem clicking on to the next page.

I know when I click 'post' that will also take minutes instead of seconds.

Hi, sorry this continues to be an issue. We are looking at a couple of things that should help. Is anyone else seeing the "waiting for skim" or similar message when a page is slow?

It just takes AGES to load - not getting a message or anything it's just taking AGES.

Sometimes its waiting for MN ads.

No messages, but still painfully slow. Not getting the virus alerts now, though, if that helps at all.

I had thought it was my laptop/ virus or something but all the other sites I load come up as quickly as usual.

Was just coming on to post about this, really slow, haven't noticed anything unusual other than it taking ages for pages to load but will keep an eye out.

Me too - been slow for a couple of days now, to the point sometimes it will not load a page and I have to go back and click again. Sometimes I get half pages load. It only seems to be the forum for me that is slow. Often get waiting for ads1.mumsnet. coming up. Computer otherwise running well and other websites seem fine.
