I think a Zombie Section is now in order. Zombie threads are proliferating in Chat.

If there was one place for the foolish OFRS brigade to gather and discuss their silly and totally unworkable plans it would make it so much easier for us to pick them off them.

Oh, and can you let them know that we know about OTBT so it's no use trying to hide in there.

I'm also stocking up on wood and have a metal bin for the small ice age that is to come if this wintre is as bad as the last two.

There was a bit about bird flu in the papers this week. It has mutated and is now resistant to Tamiflu.

I bet there is a drug company already making a new drug that will cost the uk more money to combat the new strain.

Tomorrow I am definately putting all the random items scattered about in an OFRS and getting into a more advanced state of preparedness.

DH tidied out shed this morning - While he wasn"t looking I snaffled away his safety goggles and face masks.

By the way I have popped in paper and pens and a mirror for signalling purposes.

I"ve just used my best red Avon nailvarnish to "red out" the lens on one of the torches so I don"t destroy my night vision.( I would order more but not sure if next order would arrive before The End Of The World)

I have further preparations that need attending to - so "Over and Out" for now...

I am hoarding pasta and rice. The red nail varnish is a dead smart idea. I shall be doing the same once I have wrestled DD1s beloved Essie varnish from her clutches .

Is Gaffa tape the same as duct tape? Bloody useful stuff, duct tape. And you want binder twine instead of string. Good, strong stuff, binder twine.

I thought it was the same stuff. Could be wrong. But, yes, duct tape.

Can"t survive in a normal world without it (holds half our house together!) so would definately need it in a post - apocalyptic world!

You"re right re: the string. I"ve put in some garden wire too for good measure.
