I'm sorry to have to break it to you, but there is definitely a gender discrimination thing going on here. Some of you will have noticed that I have been repeatedly accused of being anti-feminist, that I have repeatedly been accused of being that sad little prick from facebook. That I have been called various names. You've probably also noticed that I haven't broken a single rule, I've not personally called any member a name, or posted anything nasty towards any individual. But I've now had two accounts banned, I've had posts deleted. I've had an entire thread deleted, because I dared to create a post calling into question whether this site is operating a gender discriminationj policy towards men.

You'll note the published policy about trolls:
Unfortunately, it's not always immediately obvious whether a poster is, in fact, a troll. We all tend to be a bit suspicious of new folks posting things of a sensitive or inflammatory nature, but we would rather Mumsnet erred on the side of giving folks the benefit of the doubt and risked being made to look a bit foolish than pounce on someone who turns out to be genuinely in need of help. We hope you agree.

I'm afraid that's not true, in reality the women can go around making all sorts of nasty personal remarks about the men, but even if a man (such as me) stays within the rules, and doesn't make nasty personal remarks he will be banned should he dare to say something the women object to.

I am living proof of this.

I have been banned twice without the administrators of this site having a single piece of evidence to support their claims of me being a troll. You've seen me repeatedly ask the women making that accusation against me to show some evidence from any one of my post that in anyway demonstrates me behaving like a troll on this board. They have completely failed to do so. I have asked via email, and only received a response which basically says that because I stated that I didn't care about what any women thinks or feels... in direct response to a woman breaking the rules and making yet another unfounded allegation against me, that the administrators 'feel' I 'might' be a troll.

That's their reason for banning me... despite there being nothing in any post of mine which constitutes trolling behaviour towards any other member of this board.

Expect this thread to be deleted completely, in line with their attempts to hide away from the membership the truth of how they are operating gender based discrimination on this site.

This account will undoubtedly be banned and I shall be back to point this out all over again... until the administrators of this site have the decency to show some honesty and admit that this is exactly how this site is being operated to the membership.

Onemorechap. :-)

Liquorice is vile but if there are some allsorts left lying around I may, on occasion, have given in to it's limited charms.

Mine is Laura Ashley green with welsh slate floors, a huge wood burner and dark green ikea sofas. And a dog who won't let you sit on the sofa as it is clearly his.

shuckleberryfinn · 28/08/2011 23:02

Spogs rule all though.

My sitting room is evil, white paint over crappy blown vinyl (can see was once the evil half n half), dildo rail, built in (huhuey) units, red carpet, spiders webs galore, second hand Argo plether sofas but at least its huuuuge. There'salways something to snack on trodden into the carpet too.

AnyFuleKno · 28/08/2011 23:45

TiggyD is ace too. For a BOY

soymama · 28/08/2011 23:57

Nannynick is a man? I love all his posts! I may have referred to him as a woman in the past Blush

madwomanintheattic · 29/08/2011 01:45

oh, we've all done that soymama. but yes. tis true.

anyhoo.

my living room is crammed wall to wall with crap. it's too small for five of us and two big dogs, but somehow we forgot to downsize the stuff when we downsized the houses various.

and all the stuff is covered in a thick layer of dog hair. it's a dream. no, really.

i'm about to enter a purge phase, though. presumably rather like mn as they strategically remove unwanted dross from the website. i have no intention of being gender-specific in my purge - similarly, i doubt mn care whether the op has got danglies or not. so gender discrimination is definitely barking up the wrong alley. hth.

wood beams

floorboards waiting to be sanded, currently witha million nails that hurt your feet should you forget to wear flip flops indoors.

petty much sums it up

LRDTheFeministDragon · 29/08/2011 12:11

I hate you bastards.

(Except the men posters, who are fab... the ones I know about and don't refer to as 'she' anyhow).

I swear, I've bought bloody Homes and Gardens more times since I joined MN than is right. I'm in a rented place and at least, thank god, it has white walls but i am itching to get out a paintpot. Sad

For the record, we have poo-brown carpets and slightly organgy-poo brown lino by the sink, white walls, biiiiig metal-frame Moroccan mirror (that I love) over the sofa, sofa is cream but a freebie because we mended it, and we have several thousand books currently exploding all over the walls. I want to paint it something pale green or pale slatey-blue. I OD'd on duck egg way before anyone else because my granny loved it in the 90s.

SGM
I would have to murder my DH if he redecorated and made an accent wall as a surprise.

I would do it in the abbatoir-chic kitchen, cause it has floor to ceiling tiles.

PinotsWolefCubs · 29/08/2011 20:16

Cat fur? Gross.

stripeybump · 29/08/2011 20:21

SGM - I think all sofabeds are uncomfy as sofas. Unless you spend the equivalent of building a new bedroom extension on one.

Katisha · 29/08/2011 20:30

Accent walls are over now. Rosie Millard said so in the Sunday Times. Or was it the Sat Telegraph. Anyway, wallpaper is IN and you have to do the whole room in it the same one.

Jux · 10/02/2012 23:49

Oh dear, manic geek, I hadn't noticed you at all

AnyFucker · 11/02/2012 00:09
