What's happened to the I-phone app?

Anyone else got this? It updated today and now all the icons at the top and bottom of screen are HUGE. If I hit the + in the top right hand corner the options are too big for the screen. What's going on hq?

Yes. I think it's since the update. It's virtually unusable, and it's driving me mad. I can't start a new thread, and it's very difficult to add to existing ones.

Gah! My app is fine for icons and posting, but if I click on a link or come out of the app to do something with DS then when I go in again, it's booted me back to the initial welcome screen. (It only used to do that previously if I double clicked and manually shut the app.)
I've lost many a juicy thread! :-(

Is anyone at MN reading this, cos it's driving me mad. I even sent a message through iTunes on the report a problem link.

This has happened to me too
When I click the + icon to add a post I can't read the pop up bit cos it's do wide only 3 letters fit on the screen!

It's happened on mine too. It's very annoying

Would you recommend I don't update it then? I'm glad I read this before I did!

Well, it now works on the iPad - after a fashion...

In landscape mode, you get a 'letterbox' shape, with no 'Home' 'Topic' etc icons at the bottom, only the Active convos page with e Search icon at the top - and when you do go to Search, the date change box doesn't show up.

It's better in portrait mode - some of the icons are visible, but they are too far over to the left, so only half the row shows.

My iPad is 4.3.3, as I haven't got round to the latest update yet.

I have screen shots, should I email them to the contacts address, or is there another one?

I haven't tried it on the iPhone yet, as there were 14 updates to get through on that, so I'm still waiting...

iphone 4 here - I can't even get the app to upload! It goes into some kind of 'browsing for data' zone and times out...

Search on iPad portrait mode does give you the date 'wheels' but it won't go away after you've entered the date (it actually seems to come up twice, and the first one goes away when you touch 'Done', but the second stays there, so you can't get to the actual search button)

So basically it's been 'fixed' for the iPad but it's now broken for the iPhone? I'm using an iPhone 4 so won't do the update until someone tells me it works then!

iPhone 4, iOS version 4.3.4 and latest update of mumsnet app.

Ok app has now updated on iphone4, still running iOS version 4.1- The icons at the bottom are larger than normal, overlapping the bottom of the message area, but usable. But when you try to add a message the text is huge and unusable (I'm just about to send a screen shot)

I have now discovered that the iPad icons are ok in portrait mode if you start it in portrait mode - but if you start in landscape and then change to portrait you get the icons half off the screen to the right.

In landscape you get the 'letterbox' effect shown in my first screen shot and no icons at the bottom.

It's actually now very good on the iPad, as long as you don't try opening it in landscape mode - it's presumably not meant to work in landscape, but unlike on the iPhone, where it just doesn't swivel, on the iPad it does turn the screen, but not all of it appears.

Oh, and I like the 'My Topics' feature - can we have that on the main site?
