Hi all,
We've launched Gransnet today. It mimics the Mumsnet format but is for Grandparents, so they can chat about and pool ideas on their grandchildren, hobbies, relationships and anything else they fancy. If you know any Grans please do point them to Gransnet.com. NB any Grans on MN who'd rather hang out here are most welcome to do so and under no obligation to go to Gransnet but if you fancy taking a look, please feel free. (You could always do both Smile)
Any feedback is very welcome here. Txs

Are they discussing MM on Gransnet or is that still a safe haven? Wink

Hey, I saw a gn job advertised - presumerably now filled. OMG - and I am paraphrasing here - 'come and post a bit on threads and generally chivvy things along whilst drinking tea, £35k' ShockEnvy

Gransnet, or at least some of the postings there, has made me really annoyed. I must stop going there because I am so tempted to post an opposite view and yet I have no place being there!

BecauseImWorthIt · 16/05/2011 23:16

I think you can have a place there, DF, just like there are posters on MN who don't have children.

What is it that's been annoying you? I know there are some posts/posters that have made me Hmm !!!

TrillianAstra · 16/05/2011 23:30

Mmmm, scary new lifeforms.

Hello, I'm one of those people who shouldn't really be on MN.

I might go post on GN a little just to be extra-wrong, since of course I am far further from ever being a gran than I am from being a mum. :)

jimswifein1964 · 17/05/2011 21:29

Some of the threads on gn seem just so cliched, things I'd expect grans to talk about... which made me wonder how many were started off by insiders to get the ball rolling... but then I though perhaps mn seems cliched to new/non members too? So now I'm getting myself caught up in too much thinking!
