Unwelcome visitors - and recent "unpopular" threads

Hello

We thought you should know that we've had a few "visitors" lately who have, collectively, been hellbent on stirring up bunfights on the boards.

They're not your average hairy trucker/bored schoolboy/silly perve but a group from another (now defunct, it seems) forum.

They were behind the Unpopular Opinions thread - and a fair few other threads that have kicked off recently.

We're on the case.

But we would appreciate your help with "Hoovering" up any visitors our Ban button may have missed.

So do report any suspicions using the Report link, and we promise to check 'em out - though it make take us a while

Many thanks, MNHQ

I was quite relieved to see this thread. I have only been lurking/posting a few months but have felt a bit uncomfortable the last few weeks from the way some of the threads have been going.

I am probably one of the annoying posters though - I tend to pop up part way through the thread (somewhat like this) and have changed my name a fair bit. I generally name change because I realise I've posted too much RL info or because when I look back the stuff I posted sounds like am a bit of a tit. It takes a while to settle in at MN and see how things work.

This name is quite comfy at the moment and very random. Have already made a bit of a tit of myself though on a thread - never realised what a middle class cliche I was before posting on it.

cornsilk · 11/02/2011 16:51

what happened to Hully's list?

yogididabooboo · 11/02/2011 16:51

It is rather pathetic.

its on par to sending yourself flowers at your office just to make people look.

stripeywoollenhat · 11/02/2011 16:52

people name change themselves into a gang?! goodness.

bitoffunsbumchum · 11/02/2011 16:55

Bitoffun would never do such a thing - for she is surely the wisest mumsnetter of all. A veritable Brown Owl of a mumsnetter Grin.

stripeywoollenhat · 11/02/2011 16:59

bitoffunsbumchum - i know you are a hairy bollocked trucker, becasue only a hairy bollocked trucker would choose a username that lacks an apostrophe which is grammatically required....

Hullygully · 11/02/2011 17:00

Ted took the list and sat on it.

BitOfFun · 11/02/2011 17:01

That's how you can tell it is a stooge, and not a sockie, Stripey...

bitoffunsbumchum · 11/02/2011 17:02

What I actually am is a stripey stoogie.

Cornsilk, how did you get your name back? I assumed you'd lost it in a horrific deregging accident involving a combine harvester?

cornsilk · 11/02/2011 17:10

MNHQ are easily bribed if you know what their currency is...

bitoffunsbumchum · 11/02/2011 17:15

Why are you Angry corny?

Just to be clear, I really am a BOF fan.

Am a regular (proudly approaching my 5 year anniversary!) and on this thread and loads of others today.

cornsilk · 11/02/2011 17:17

I am Angry with Ted
Does BOF know she has a bumchum? I was AF's bitch once but she made me do things

BitOfFun · 11/02/2011 17:18

Get back in your cupboard, bumchum.

Hullygully · 11/02/2011 17:19

Ted doesn't care. He says the nice thing about being dead is that one is simply beyond such things.

cornsilk · 11/02/2011 17:20

Didn't you print it?

stripeywoollenhat · 11/02/2011 17:21

cornsilk! Shock AF is a lady. she said so on this very thread.

bitoffunsbumchum · 11/02/2011 17:21

Oh, yes, she loves it.

Btw, just incase anyone gets offended, I am allowed to have the term bumchum in my name. I am not homophobic, I have a gay brother and a gay sister and I did drama at University and have loads of gay friends. I am using it in the affectionate, friendly way.

cornsilk · 11/02/2011 17:21

I know exactly what kind of a lady she is

bitoffunsbumchum · 11/02/2011 17:22

Funny how Ted reappears on this thread at about the same time as me!
