Are you using the mobile version of Mumsnet? How can we improve it?

Hello. We hope you've all had a chance to use the mobile version of MN at m.mumsnet.com/.

We know there has been the odd technical glitch with it - and we're busy sorting those out.

But we reckon it's working pretty well on the whole - so now we'd like to know what we can do to improve it.

Please post here any thoughts you have about features you'd like to see on the mobile version that aren't there at present.

All ideas welcome - we'd love to build up a good picture of what you'd most like to see. (But no promises, mind!)

(For problems with existing features, please continue to post on the other thread.)

I'm sorry I don't like the mobile version at all and just use the proper version on my iPhone. Your mobile version just doesn't seem like proper MN. You might need to do it as a proper App to make it work properly. With proper sections and easily navigable stuff. It needs to be more MN-y before I would switch to it.

I was using the mobile version (didn't choose to it just seemed to default to it after it went live). Then I closed MN down one day & when I reopened it was back to the normal version (this is on iPhone btw). Until I saw this thread I couldn't work how to get it back.

So agree it should default to mobile version if using mobile device or else put the button somewhere more visible!

I'm with puppy, I use the normal version on my mobile as it gets rid of the annoying problems (like the font size refusing to bloody shrink)

The Lego ads are driving me nuts, I keep clicking on them when scrolling. Can you make them half width so they can be avoided more easily?

Also can you put a link on the homepage? I only got to the site through a link in this post.

I'm using HTC windows based and I can log in but if I try to reply to a thread it takes me to the page with all the topics on and no reply has been made :(

I wish the mobile site would recognise that I am browsing on my phone and open automatically. It's a real palaver trying to find threads in the mobile version when the normal website keeps opening first.

Love back to top and flip and font size fine for me (yes on homescreen it is squeezed into left but I bookmarked the active conversation page)

Using it on a Blackberry and all my posts are coming up twice.

Although the likelihood of me not using it properly is quite high!

For all those complaining about scrolling the 's back to top' and 'add message' links at the bottom of each message do the job nicely. I can't quite see why you're all having problems.

Highlighting the OP and clickable links to the topics are my only other requests.

I always start at the bottom of the thread and then have to spend ages scrolling to the top and then ages scrolling to the bottom to add a post (iphone 3). is there any way of just scooting to the top/bottom?

Beatttie, either just click on the top bar where the time is or click 'back to top' (left of 'add message') to get to the top of the page

I would like to know how to quickly get to the bottom (although i use pages so not too far)

Can we choose what page we want? Its a right pita if you read 5 pages of a thread and then next time you look there is 17 pages and you have to keep clicking next until you get to the right page.

Otherwise, is there any way you could have fewer images, as it takes ages and ages to load a page
