Can't post on a thread - keeps defaulting to topic page

Am trying to post on this thread - have posted on it before. But pressing post just takes me to the topics page. What is going on? Have tried in IE and Firefox

Helen, I had the same problem, thought it was because I posted from my blackberry.

Came on to laptop, and tried again. Nothing.

Read this thread, took the pound sign out of my post, tried again - posted fine!

Okay, it definitely doesn't like the pound sign, I tried to post a message with just a pound sign, and it went to topics again.

I just had the same issue when having the pound sign in a post. I thought I was losing my mind because I swore I had posted it and it wasn't there!

I cant post shift 3 which I gather is a pound sign on qwerty keyboard.

I just tried the pound sign too and i couldn't post it.

Ah, interesting. I had this problem ages ago but nobody else did! Happened again this morning but wrote it off to being just me again and left it alone. Glad to know it's not just me though :)

Ah this happened to me whilst posting links but I was using the old method not the method.

I did mention this problem at 17:49 on Thursday which included that I had identified the GBP sign as being a problem.

It is very odd because it has worked fine for many years. So something changed on Thursday prior to 17:43.

It did work at 16:53 on 25th Nov. See here

So there a window of time in which something stopped it working. Hope that helps the Techs identify what may have resulted in this happening.

Sorry to hear this! Can you make sure that the 'keep me logged in' box is checked before you log in? If this doesn't work, send an email over to [email protected] and we'll look into it!
