Am trying to post on this thread - have posted on it before. But pressing post just takes me to the topics page. What is going on? Have tried in IE and Firefox Confused

How odd, Feenie.

I've just managed to post on that thread

Is it happening just on that thread? Or can't you post on any threads at all?

Feenie · 25/11/2010 20:54

I can see your test post, Helen, but it still sends me to topics when I try Sad

No, can post on this and others. It's just that one, and I really want to post on it! Thanks for the prompt attention though Smile

Testing (from a second rate Japanese restaurant)

Feenie · 25/11/2010 21:19

It's now let me do a different post, but not the one I want to make Hmm

Again

5inthebed · 25/11/2010 21:40

It's not letting me post anything longer than one line

mylifewithstrangers · 25/11/2010 21:41

Do you have any odd characters in your post, like the pound sign for example Hmm

Feenie · 25/11/2010 21:43

I was trying to cut and paste from an government document (the Assessment and Reporting Arrangements 2011) but it wouldn't let me! Worked when I retyped - very sinister Grin

ive been having problems too when i try to c&p links.

5inthebed · 25/11/2010 21:46

Oh actually, I was trying to link to something. maybe that is the problem?

mylifewithstrangers · 25/11/2010 21:46

It wouldn't let me post earlier until I removed the pund sign and substituted 'quid' !! Because is such a subversive sign Hmm

I just tried to post this with an actual pound sign and it still won't let me.

DebiTheScot · 25/11/2010 21:49

I had that too earlier. I'd written a big long post and it did the same thing. I'd copied it (dodgy internet connection so I usually do that so I don't lose it) and then when I tried it again it still wouldn't work. But eventually let me post it in small sections.

mumto2andnomore · 25/11/2010 21:49

Ive had that problem too, didnt know it was the pound sign !

DebiTheScot · 25/11/2010 21:50

ah I had pound signs too.

smokinaces · 25/11/2010 22:02

aaah, I just wrote a long post and lost it - and it had a pound sign in it!

Gutted as really cant be asked to retype it all now!

mylifewithstrangers · 25/11/2010 22:03

smokin, if you'd just hit the button it would have gone back to the page where you typed it all!!!

nameymcnamechange · 25/11/2010 22:07

Helen: this is what was happening to me earlier.

Strangers: which back button do you mean Blush? [ignorant emoticon].

smokinaces · 25/11/2010 22:07

I did, but sadly it had deleted everything I had typed and was just a blank box Sad

Joolyjoolyjoo · 25/11/2010 22:12

Ah! this has just happened to me, and yes, there were pound signs in my post

mylifewithstrangers · 25/11/2010 22:14

LOL namey, THE back button, you know, the one which you use to return to a previous page.

There should be an icon top left of your browser, or press Alt+Left Arrow, or right-click and choose back etc etc etc Grin

nameymcnamechange · 25/11/2010 22:19

Ah right now, to be sure, on my browser, not my keyboard! I'm with ya.

wigglesrock · 25/11/2010 22:20

I'm having same problem on antenatal clubs, won't let me do long posts. Also bringing me back to topic page randomly. Can also not access antenatal clubs through topics page. I am having to go through the search request.

Feenie · 25/11/2010 22:22

Back button deletes my posts, both at home and at work

Hello. And sorry - we're not ignoring you.

We can see that lots of people are having problems but it's not immediately apparent what's up.

We are on it, though...
