if this thread was taken and used as a statistic, taking all the people who post on mumsnet and the people who have been named, it's probably less than 0.05% ; and it is true that if you are named alot, you really are on here far too much.

And for her daft as a brush logic my favourite has to be DaftPunk :o

lisa - you also have to remember that folk will name other posters who are on an ongoing antenatal / postnatal thread with them, or in they are in some sort of odd 'shimmery' club etc, or perhaps they have been to MN meet ups together ; I wouldn't take it to heart!

You see? This is why I can't compile a list. All these people feeling sad. To be fair, if you post alot in specific subjects like baby related stuff, SN, S&B, creative writing, whatever, you get your own little clique going there and if you asked this question there you'd probably get a mention. But most of us bored losers who hang out in chat and AIBU have a different clique going on.

Btw no-one will recognise me, I've namechanged recently cos of rl events but have been here for too long a few years.

These threads are mostly about frequency of posting. And they act as a kind of a collective oppertunity to nod at people that you recognise but you would feel a bit of a twat saying 'oh and btw I always love your posts'
I don't think it is any more serious than that. It doesn't mean anything.

I can't post who I like because they are too many to mention and I would feel a shit for missing some out. But I do love the SN board posters. They are endlessly focussed on their own childrens issues and yet spend time on each others problems. And they retain a sense of humour in the face of some periodic astonishing wankerage on the main board

periodic, astonishing and wankerage are not three words I ever anticipated seeing in a row.

There used to be a poster called peachy...not sure what she's calling herself these days?......dispite us having quite a bit of "history" she always stayed calm and friendly with me....(maybe she lays into me when I'm not looking.. I dunno)... but she was a fantastic example of how not to hold grudges and to seperate the post from the poster..... (ie; what I said 6 months ago may not be what I think now..)
