or is it frankie??? Pushchair buggy type with silver frame

5inthebed · 27/06/2009 22:12

Dis, Gecko

That is a lovely (??) pram Dunoon. I bet it was the best pram around 10 years ago.

This pram is near me, has been on and off Ebay for the past few months and nobody has bought it! If anyone wants it, I can always pick it up and wrap it for courier . Would be ideal.......for a charity shop. The seller has probably spent a small fortune on Ebay fees so far.

BexieID · 27/06/2009 22:25

Toms hardly eaten all day. No breakfast, hardly any lunch, an apple, some choc buttons/stars/hula hoops at the supermarket and no dinner. He was quite clearly hungry when we put him to bed. Feel really bad, but what can you do?

Disenchanted3 · 27/06/2009 22:32

Oooh 5 in it looks lovely!!

5inthebed · 27/06/2009 22:54

Swap for the Bee dis

Bex, is it really hot where you are? My DS2 hardly eats when it is hot, prefers to drink adn have ice lollies. Hope he isn't coming down with something.

Hello ladies, I need your help please! Hope you don't mind me joining your thread.

I want to find the perfect walk to school pushchair, rear-facing. I have an Infinity but I don't like the small front wheels for going down kerbs and there is no air or suspension in the front wheels. Most of the rear-facers seem to be designed more for forward facing with the added feature of rear-facing so the ride and suspension etc isn't as good when rear-facing iyswim.

I'm going crazy looking at pushchairs on the internet! What should I buy? I thought about a Mutsy urban rider (are they any good?) or something like this - but have no idea what brand it is and therefore if any good (does anyone know what it is?). I'm even willing to splash out now and spend a bit more than I normally would to get the perfect one (although I'm still talking about still second-hand prices!)

Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

lecohen · 27/06/2009 22:57

Bex, hope your boy is ok

lecohen · 27/06/2009 22:58

5 - Nice Gecko!

lecohen · 27/06/2009 23:01

Tellnoone - hi there, don't be tempted by that monstrosity, you wil regret it I'm sure, sorry!

Don't know what to suggest though... Bugaboo? But then prob same prob as infinity...hmmm

Disenchanted3 · 27/06/2009 23:01

Ooooh no in, lurvly pink bee is staying

horsemadgal · 27/06/2009 23:16

tellnoone, think it's a Tako. Weigh a tonne!

5inthebed · 27/06/2009 23:18

Bugaboo has a fab suspension for the front wheels.

Son't get one of those though, they weigh a ton and are a nightmare to turn.

Don't think my DS3 would suit a pink pram anyway Dis

tellnoone · 27/06/2009 23:18

Hi Lecohen, the one in the link is the monstrosity, right?! I would prefer something modern, but I'm getting desperate now!

Is the Mutsy urban rider any good? I missed a couple on ebay recently that went for about £65, and then on another site someone won't accept £70 for theirs. So I'm wondering if it's worth bidding/offering more money and the others were freak bargains.

tellnoone · 27/06/2009 23:24

I'm stepping away from the tako monstrosity!

claret1980 · 28/06/2009 07:15

Well I'm watching a few bjcm on ebay at the mo so the Ziko is gonna go. I have told dh that I will sell that to fund it. I have put a notice on for sale board. I'm open to offers. It is a good sturdy pushchair and I will miss it but I really want a bjcm!

nicolamumof3 · 28/06/2009 07:42

Morning all, im burning up this morning, feel worse, but another day with dc's as terry away so no rest for the wicked.

ziko's are lovely pushchairs not the most lightweight but feel so nice to push, so smooth. having the chrome frame they do mark easily but they are gorgeous. deffo recommend i've had two.

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/06/2009 07:59

Morning.
Nicola there are loads of bugs around still. My DDs have all had headache/temp one. DD2 still coughs up in the morning and DD3 is snotty.
Please can the summer just zap all those germs!
Hope you manange to get a little rest in the day.
Tellnoone Maxybrown has a Mutsy and I think she likes it.When I am going down kerbs with the Infinity I lift the front wheels and bump down with the rear ones so its softer.

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/06/2009 08:22

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 28/06/2009 08:23

no my mums about half an hour away, but don't like to ask her unless i really couldn't move!! i've text terry but suspect he will have phone off anyway.

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/06/2009 08:25

Nicola I would ask your mum. Does she like looking after DCs? This is the time you need it.

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 28/06/2009 08:27

yes she's fab with them, but she looked after them Friday lunchtime and im over there tomorrow too to have my practice hair done for wedding. so don't really want to intrude on their w/end. plus by the time she got over here i know it would be nearly lunchtime (she's not exactly speedy in the mornings!!)

FlyMeToDunoon · 28/06/2009 08:30

lol Hmmm hope you are feeling better by tomorrow then. Would an afternoon in bed not help?
