Hi all hope you find it and this is the first.

I don't envy you Dunoon! I had three 5 year old boys in my house last week, and my head was demented.

So....I am thinking of selling the Gecko . It's funny, but when I'm out with it, I feel like I'm not dressed smart enough to push it and feel a bit silly putting my Tesco shopping in it. Maybe it's just a bit too posh for me? What am I on about? Warped!

I still want a rear facer though, so off to look at them on Ebay

Disenchanted3 · 27/06/2009 09:16

my god 5in keep the gecko, you'll HATE everything else compared.

5inthebed · 27/06/2009 09:34

Do you think so? I just can't get over the poshness though. I'm not posh in the slightest lol.

Disenchanted3 · 27/06/2009 09:38

im not posh at all I live in a council house on a rough manchester estate, but i still have my bee cause its the best rearfacer for me, ive had totally pimped out cams too worth hunnnndreds,

don't be daft, and TBH most people have expensive buggies now (prob that £500 grant) and noone willl bat an eyelid.

5inthebed · 27/06/2009 09:44

God I feel ridiculous even thinking this. How can I seriously think a pram is better than me lol.

Maybe I should just get a graco travel system like most of the other mams around here

nicolamumof3 · 27/06/2009 12:01

5in don't be so ridiculous! its lovely and you deserve it and ds looks gorgeous in it!

just returned from park sandpit far too hot out for little ones. had to shower off kids as they were covered in sand which i have to clear up next! luka went mental as he hates showers but they are all clean and currently lunching.

i feel worse and worse!

Disenchanted3 · 27/06/2009 12:55

5in have you got pics of the gecko? not to buy, lol, just cause it sounds lovely

Hi all,

Has anyone tried a silver cross Wayfarer?

I have a Bugaboo Frog but don't like to abuse it too much but pretty much everything I try does not compare to it's lightness and maneuverability... will I like the Wayfarer? Is it bulky / heavy? Can a toddler stand on the back part? Am looking at an all Black one (more modern looking)

Many thanks

liahgen · 27/06/2009 15:12

dis have tried to emaqil you, I don't have youer address to book courier. I'm going away in couple hours. If anyone knows her can they please pass on this so I can organise please.

thanks

maxybrown · 27/06/2009 16:03

lecohen, I had the black wayfarer. They are nice and sturdy, but it is quite heavy.....nice though. But you can def tell it's not modern!! If that helps any?? If you want lightness and manouveribilty then I'd say no.

maxybrown · 27/06/2009 16:03

Also, even if a toddler could stand on the back it would be bloomin heavy I would imagine!

coolkat · 27/06/2009 16:05

Hi ladies I have sold my chicco multiway on ebay and have a maclaren double box to send it in which will fit it lovely but who should I use to send as it is a very big box.
TIA

nicolamumof3 · 27/06/2009 16:08

coolkat i use www.senditnow.com. they go by weight only don't ask dimensions.

Disenchanted3 · 27/06/2009 18:46

Am really wanting my comfort pack, it think it will look so nice,

glad first wheels is gone, have to pack it up again now, only took it out once!

nicolamumof3 · 27/06/2009 19:37

lol Dis, i finally paid for mine today. can't wait to get it, think i got a good price with the acc's included.

lecohen · 27/06/2009 19:46

oh thanks maxy, I really appreciate your response...will leave it x

maxybrown · 27/06/2009 19:50

That's ok I liked mine, being a lover of older fashion prams, and sometimes I think I should have kept it, but once you have had modern pushchairs it is difficult as they are so light in comparison. Now I have had a Nipper I'm not sure anything else will compare as it's so light!

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/06/2009 20:11

oh good glad it went well dunoon

carrielou2007 · 27/06/2009 20:46

Not posh enough for a pram? a pram not a person . I live in a 3 bed semi, work in a very male dominated profession in a very ordinary middle class life. I had a bug as it suited my needs. I also have a cheap and cheerful volo!

The People you hear boasting about how much money they have and they have the best of everything are not posh they are trying to be what they think posh should be! Actually if someone thought I was posh due to my pram I think I would be a bit chuffed!!

Dd's half brothers and sisters laugh at my tv (nothing like your lovely tv Dis!), tv's are not something I'm bothered about, but prams, now prams are my thing!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/06/2009 21:07

It is deeply sad but i got very excited when I saw this pram because it is the same as the one I had for DD1, 10 yrs ago now!
God I loved that pram. If I had a bigger shed or loft it would still be there.

nicolamumof3 · 27/06/2009 21:10

i remember those prams flyme. i had a similar designed bebecar unica in bright green...which i still have! all the boys have used it! i love it the carrycot is immaculate!

Carrielou v.well said (im same about tvs too!!)

carrielou2007 · 27/06/2009 21:37

I used my sisters mamas and papas pram with big bouncy wheels she still had in the garage that was my neice's (who was 9 at the time). I had my quinny but not the carrycot and 3 wheeler but was forward facing, bought the bug when dd was 4 months.

Everyone used to stop me and look in the pram. It was navy, white and yellow checked (sounds yuk but it was lovely) It was fab! The I made the mistake of buying a pliko and the difference in quality was shocking. They don't make things like they used to!!

FlyMeToDunoon · 27/06/2009 21:41

TVs a man thing?
My carrycot was immaculate too!
