Maclaren what about picture 6?
He isn't too bad today just extremely tired. He is on home leave but have to go back to hospital every day which is a complete waste of time. Yesterday they told me to go at lunchtime so he could have a lumbar puncture. They didn't do it until 3:30pm. Then they put EMLA cream on at 4pm for a blood test and they didn't do it until 6pm even though the cream only take an hour to work. And then after all that waiting for the cream to work they ended up doing a finger prick anyway and squeezing the blood out cos his veins were no good.
Today they told us to get there at 11am to catch doctor on his rounds. At midday they put EMLA on for more blood tests cos lab had told the doctor yesterday to put the blood in the wrong bottle by mistake. He finally got his bloods taken at 2pm. Physio was booked for 2:30pm again even though the last time he had it at this time he was really tired and not up to much. This time we couldn't get him to do anything so we gave up on that. Then the doctor said he had asked the dietician to come up but she said she might not be able to and if she hadn't come by 5pm to go home. As we were back from physio at 2:40 I asked the doctor if we could see the dietician in outpatients another day cos he was so tired and luckily he said yes.
So yesterday we waited around 5 hours just for a lumbar puncture and some blood tests and today we waited around 4 hours just for some blood tests and a 5 minute session of physio. We were supposed to see the consultant but he never came.
