it will be going in the car about once a week i expect, we have a big car so room isn't the issue

do i really need one?? Thankyou all you are so helpful!

horsemadgal · 05/02/2009 16:01

Hi apushchairq, yep I'd def get a P&T.
I found at 2 kids want to walk but then at 3 they want back in buggy LOL!
I only have experience of the E3 though but was fab even for my DS up to age 4 and my niece at a year old.

elmoandella · 05/02/2009 16:11

it's not room thats the issue. you have to take doubles seat off p&t to fold and the mechanism can be a pita!!

Maclaren · 05/02/2009 16:55

Afternoon all weather here still completely crap and no courier yet!!

apushchairq have you thought of the buggy board with the seat for your Bugaboo like this would just need to check it will fit a bugaboo or this but you then need the bugaboo board

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2009 17:09

the seat takes me about 10secs to remove so easy you can do with your eyes closed so wouldn't let that put you off.

apushchairq · 05/02/2009 17:48

thankyou that first link looks great!

It's not that we mind buying another buggy, its just i only see ourselves using it for 6 months until my Bugaboo reigns again & dd is old enough to use the board reliably i suppose i could ebay the P&T.

thanks again!

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2009 18:00

P&T's do have fab resale value. i bet you end up using it longer than you expected specially at this time of year!

elmoandella · 05/02/2009 18:10

i also foung my kids too big for p&t. and powertwin have fab resale too.

but i think along as you older child isn't terribly tall. and considering you only put it in car once a week p&t best as you could use it as single?

you can also put a surfer(buggy board) on powertwin for training your older dc to walk. not sure if you can do this with p&t

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2009 18:14

i think the seat is really big tho elmo? tate fits fine in main or doubles seat and he's not small or anything? luka has masses of room in main seat too. i ove the flexibility of the p&t like you say if you drop one at nursery i can leave the doubles seat there and don't have to push a huge double round the shops.

oooh just been linked to a new pram board this is not helping me. tho i do feel quite satisfied with my pushchairs atm i just love my zapp so much used again today, looks love the strawberry with my p&t blue camo coseytoes!

lillypie · 05/02/2009 18:23

Oooh me too!!! Lillypie thanks for you pp will drop buggysnuggle and straps prob on my way to the meeting depending on the weather it may be on the way back!!

I nearly bought some wellies today as dd has been having so much fun in the snow in hers but would I ever wear them again apart from at Centre Parcs??

I'm having the wobbles at the moment, I am missing out on so much with dd and only one more year and she will be starting playgroup then before I know it school. She has had such fun in the snow I just want to be with her more. I have to work to be able to pay the bills and would love to cut my hours (but boss won't let me and can't afford to) Shes so loves being with other children and has such a great time at the childminders but I just feel I am missing so so much. I need wine!!!

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2009 20:44

will email you in a bit girls!

theres lots of mnetters on there! a lady linked me, well the lady i bought my stayput from. i can't believe how fab the stayputs are btw. shame i can't use it now i've sold buggy! typical eh.

carrielou, i've got some lovely wellies from boden, but i do do alot of walking in all weathers so worth it for me. you know if you have a child under five your employer has to consider a request for flexible working. i know what you mean i worked from when tom was 3m til he started school i missed so much i can see that now with the younger two. im so glad i don't have to work long hours anymore you can make it work how about tax credits? i took a 75% pay cut when i finished working in the city.

elmoandella · 05/02/2009 20:52

sigh....MrBM cant get off work tomorrow. got monday off now. but i'm at job interview. trying to sort out another meet but his schedule is as busy as mine.lol

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2009 21:07

My 'lovely' boss when I was on maternity leave and I asked about FW just said your job is full time and I am the ONLY person who is part time (out of about 170 nationwide) I did work 3 days a week for 6 weeks before he told me I had to go back to full time so wangled 4 days.

I know I shouldn't moan, we have a lovely lifestyle and I truly love my job, I just want a year or so with my daughter before she is at school and I am back to ridiculous hours a week!!

I keep looking for wellies now, I wear trainers and walking boots but pink flowery wellies (so cheap in Millets today!!)

claret1980 · 05/02/2009 21:24

Evening everyone!

It was sooooo cold today I only ventured out to pick dd up from school today. Had no snow, I reckon that we won't get any at all. We never get any!

AM def getting a buzz but not till next month when I will have some pennies.

nicolamumof3 · 05/02/2009 21:29

carrie you have to demonstrate how your job could be done on reduced hours, could they employ someone to job share? my one regret is not spending that precious time with tom before he started school. we had a fab lifestyle, holidays, presents whatever he wanted. but we couldn't buy the time iykwim?

love the name dunoon!

carrielou2007 · 05/02/2009 21:46

That's exactly it Nicola, I couldn't give two stuffs about having the flash car etc as it's the time I'll never get back. I will always regret the fact the she was only 5 months old when I went back to work but had no choice it was that or no job.

Work are rubbish, they asked me to go to a different surgery 20 miles away one day a week then put someone else in my surgery for that day like eh?? I suppose I'm just thinking my morgage has come down by so much why not reduce my hours for a bit but keep getting told no and how lucky I am being the only 'part timer'.

I want a pair of pink wellies and MB breeze!!!!!
