nope. he's never ever had the 2 of them on his own somewhere. says he cant and point blank refuses it. tbh i dont think he could . he needs more practice with them on his own before he has them outdoors. he's had them less times than i have fingers since ella was born!

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 22:45

oh dear, im so lucky with terry as he does everything with the boys he has to have them at least two full days a week when im working but he's always happily taken them out and stuff. my ex-H on the other hand never was like that with tom usless, didn't know what he ate, when he slept, whether he should have a vest on, what size nappies nothing. he soon bloody learnt!!!!

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 22:47

exdp has an opinion on what they should eat/sleep or wear. but come to actually do it and he's hopeless. but as you say he'll learn soon enough.

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 22:52

he will do it will be the making of him. i still grit my teeth now 9yrs down the line nearly with ex-H the things he does and says drive me and dp up the wall. but ds1 thinks he's dad of the year because its all fun, fun, fun at daddy's he's got all the gadgets in his room, allowed to stay up til silly o'clock etc. whereas mummy and terry are boring and strict! he will see one day i hope. im sure it will be fine tomorrow for elmo. hoping so for you.

nicolamumof3 · 01/02/2009 08:29

Morning all! how is everyone today?

all ok here apart from an early start with luka and being full of cold, i feel quite groggy with the night nurse i took last night!!!

don't you just love it when someone hijacks your thread to sell their own stuff too???

jenwa · 01/02/2009 08:46

Hi there

I have been on here before asking for some advice as you all know your pushchairs
Does anyone know if this is any good ?

I currently have a mothercare rococo which is very heavy and am looking for something else.

I do like this too but DD2 is only 3 months so thought the Britax would be better and has lots of good reviews.
I also have a mothercare atlan pushchair with tray which is fab but no foot rest so baby's legs would dangle but it has lovely big basket which the maclaren does not.

Please help
thank you

nicolamumof3 · 01/02/2009 08:52

are we missing a link jenwa?

jenwa · 01/02/2009 09:00

Dont understand why its not working, it works when I preview it and click it!

Its the Britax Visio Pram/Pushchair Black Java

www.britax.co.uk/index.php?home
The link I originally put was from kiddicare selling at £99.99

jenwa · 01/02/2009 09:01

Whoops

this

jenwa · 01/02/2009 09:03

Basically just wondered what best really,
the britax or maclaren??

Love the look of britax, and baby still facing me for short time until change to pushchair mode.

nicolamumof3 · 01/02/2009 09:06

i wouldn't go for a maclaren for a 3m old personally. the britax is a good price on kiddicare, not sure how nice would be in RL? is a bit plain for my taste but a v.good price.

jenwa · 01/02/2009 09:11

Yeh, I know what you mean re plain, had looked at the green luna pushchair but basket looked small and heard few cases of baby tipping out in pushchair when going down kerb etc. Also thought may sell better after if neutral colour and price is good

I thought the maclaren would be more for lder although it does say suitable from 3 months. DD2 is a bigger baby, very long

MrsMagooo · 01/02/2009 09:15

Morning all!

Elmo as Nicola says XDP will soon bloody learn he has no choice!!

Nicola that really bugs when people try & sell on the thread you're selling on

Jenwa I wouldn't personally use a Mac for a baby under 6 months but that's just me

I'm still hankering after a black BJCM lol!

OP posts:
claret1980 · 01/02/2009 09:20

Maclaren are a much better buy, they last longer and still have a decent resale value.

jenwa · 01/02/2009 09:21

Ok well think will go for britax.
just been watching video on kiddi care for it and its fab, changes into pushchair easily from pram and comes with liner and raincover.

£99 bargain, although not actually sure I even have £99 at the mo

carrielou2007 · 01/02/2009 09:25

Jenwa this is the same as a m and p pliko and silver cross 3d - would you only consider new?? The 3d's go very cheap, I sold mine for 60 quid and though they are heavy they are much better quality I would have thought?? If your bubs is long he won't be in the soft liner for long, dd was the same and was out of it before 4 months.

claret1980 · 01/02/2009 09:26

My ds2 is 10 weeks and I have him in our techno for a nursery run or 2. He seems nice and cosy in it.

nicolamumof3 · 01/02/2009 09:43

i did have both ds2 and ds3 in my maclaren ryder with faux fur cosytoes on at around 3m im sure they were v.comfy, but i just couldn't see them! Would def prefer a rear facing next time around.

nicolamumof3 · 01/02/2009 09:45

i wonder if its going to snow today?

does anyone want a black coseytoes with stripey jersey lining? or a walk in sleeper its a nice cotton one as opposed to the fleece 12-18m???

right must go get showered before luka wakes. tate is being v.clingy tho today. i was trying to go through suitcase and he just won't let me out of his sight.

MrsMagooo · 01/02/2009 09:57

Nicola Mama has one up for sale on the for sale board

Can anyone find that Luna mix on the for sale board - I can't seem to find the thread?????

OP posts:
onelittlelion · 01/02/2009 10:05

Morning everyone! Hope all ok. So cold!!! Getting snowsuit back out again! Not sure if too cold fro snow here. Brrrrrr!

MrsMagoo I've just go a bjcm and really like it. I hate strolers but this does everything I need! Will put a pic on my trail

Lots to catch up on as usual!

Disenchanted3 · 01/02/2009 10:11

Anyone interested in a pink kaiser XL with light pink lining?

nicolamumof3 · 01/02/2009 10:15

i know mrs.m we are selling the same footmuff!

it was under the p&t stuff for sale (the add for luna mix) she sent me more photos and it does look lovely!

jenwa · 01/02/2009 10:32

nicolamumof3 next time round!!!!! I am sure I am stopping at 2!

carrielou I heard it was the same style but the reviews say it is no different just cheaper, not sure how long it will last though as not sure it has been around as long
DD is long so she prob wont be in pram for too long but long enough to get some use. I do like the maclaren. I wish I could buy both or at least be a pushchair sampler!!!!

jenwa · 01/02/2009 10:49

Also the rococo I have from mothercare 2005 is a pram/pushchair but is very heavy so dont really want another heavy one
