nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 21:48

good for you elmo! i met terry online! i never even realised that my friend had signed me up til i started getting all these emails!!! terry was the only one i answered it really was love at first site! we've been together four and half years. two children and getting married this year, worked for us!!!

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 21:51

i've only told 1 friend as i might be meeting banker on monday for a coffee and want to be safe about it. dare not tell anyone else.

i just want to have some fun and feel like a woman and not a mother all the time. felt nothing but a mother for nearly 3 yr now!!

carrielou2007 · 31/01/2009 21:51

Crikey, like a real life fairy tale, how lovely.

I end up with all the frogs (and I don't mean the french!!)

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 21:54

carrie - at least online you can just instantly ignore anyone unsuitable who you dont like. amd it states clearly on their profile all the important things like age/kids/job/location

MrsMagooo · 31/01/2009 21:54

Aww Elmo that's fab - I hope you have a lovely time if you do meet up

I met Dust on-line too. In the sci-fi chatroom on Yahoo back in September 1999. I visited him in July 2000, got engaged in November 2004, had Tom in April 2006 and I moved to Scotland in July 2006.

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 21:57

hey bexie - wait, did you get harness pads?

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 21:58

elmo you should go nothing to lose eh? as you say its nice to feel like a woman again and not just a mum.

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 21:59

and the fact he's fit looking and solvent doesn't make things worse. lol. he might cancel or i'll chicken out

BexieID · 31/01/2009 21:59

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 22:01

i doubt he will elmo, its only coffee after all. it is nervewracking but you will be fine once you get chatting

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 22:01

both!

carrielou2007 · 31/01/2009 22:02

I'd had an argument with my on/off boyfriend of over 10 years, went to another bar in a bit of a huff, got chatting to this lovely chap. Bumped into my shag-buddy so went home with him and in the middle of naughties the phone went and it was the lovely bloke.

Saw my on/off bloke the next day and told him to push off and went back to being mates with the other. The lovely bloke was pretty much love at second sight and was with him (dd dad) until dd was about 7 months before adding him to the useles men pile!!

MrsMagooo · 31/01/2009 22:02

You should go for it Elmo - do you the world of good

Nicola you know what I'll say lol

i'm tempted. even just talking to him has boosted my confidence. tomorrow, i've TOLD exdp he's having both kids. wether or no he likes it in the am. just going to take them and leave them at his. no bloody choice for him to say he cant.

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 22:20

well he should have them both anyway elmo im sure he'll be fine no reason why he shouldn't be able to cope is there?

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 22:23

nope. he's having them wether or not he likes them. i'll be dropping them off. pushing them in door. kissing them good bye and waving cheerily as i enjoy a morning of child free shopping for a new top for monday!!

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 22:24

sounds like a good idea, you know it might be the making of him my ex-H was a crap dad didn't have a clue, but he soon learnt! tom was 15m when we split up after a few weeks of relying on his mum he learnt what to do with tom.

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 22:27

he's watched them for 2 days and an overnight. but said aparently he couldn't watch the 2 of them for a couple of hours. so today i was stern and said he was having them alone or not at all as i was fed up seeing him and arguing when i did.

yeah for confidence. lol

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 22:31

no thats right, you aren't a family anymore, his own selfish ways put paid to that. but those kids have done nothing wrong and deserve to have some nice time with their dad no reason why you should have to be there at all, and no good for them if you are arguing either. hope it goes ok tomorrow then.

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 22:34

thnks nicola - my only issues is i discussed it with elmo and he freaked out about going to old house. dont know if he'll go. if he has a complete melt down i wont leave him

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 22:38

oh bless him, its definitely harder as they are older and more knowing. couldn't daddy just come pick them up from you take them out to soft play (too cold for the park!) and a bit of lunch or something?
