nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 11:17

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 11:47

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 11:51

do you think so? i might see later if its there. prob not. had a teknik footmuff on it but i think it might have been a fixed wheel job?

nappyaddict · 31/01/2009 12:15

SW M&P Joolz, Mutsy 4 rider (or lite rider as it is sometimes called), mothercare maiu, any of the teutonia pushchairs, gesslein f2, gesslein f6, gesslein future or gesslein vision s.

Sorry I disappeared for a bit MIL arrived for a cuppa. Will try to answer questions now.

will you be putting it in and out a car at all.

Will have to put it in and out of the back of a Renault scenic once in a while. Occasionally with all 7 seats in use.

and will 3yo be hitching a ride? either by means of a board or by "perching" somewhere on the pram.

I hope not I am trying to get him used to the walk as he will be 4 within a few weeks of baby arriving

are you bothered about it being rear facing once lo is out the carrycot and into pushchair mode.

I like to be able to chose which way to face the kids. With dd and ds we used to have great chats with them facing me and as they got a bit bigger we turned the seat round for them to watch the world more iyswim.

would you be happy with a soft carrycot? or do you want a solid framed one?

Would really like a solid frame so I don't have to buy a Moses basket as well

does it need to go with a particular car seat at all?

No not really. I have a rockatot and a graco 1st stage seat but dh is on about getting an isofix as we have the right kind of car for those now. Will leave the seat n the car as a permanent feature same as the seats for the older 2! Mum will keep the graco at hers as she is most likely to be the one we call in an emergency, and mil will have the rockatot for their use iyswim.

when you occasionally use the bus is it a big wide double door type. or a kind where you would have to fold the pram?

All our buses are the kind that have wheelchair/pram/pushchair access.

feeling worse and worse. got luka in bed now go make tates lunch.

nappyaddict · 31/01/2009 12:25

The ones I suggested earlier are biggish prams with air wheels and great for walking. I think you would be best getting one of those and then a cheap second hand umbrella pushchair that you can chuck in the back of the car when you occasionally need all 7 seats up.

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 12:33

woops here's the breen at babyvalue

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 12:56

anyone had a quinny freestyle? Quite fancy one!

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 13:06

silent - final q? whats you budget??and do you like plain colours or bright things?

silentlywondering · 31/01/2009 13:20

I have £200 In laws are prepared to give me £100 towards my parents will probably match it and what ever else I can save between now and Sept, but I do have a few other things I need to replace!

Colours prefer classic to bright.

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 13:46

i think with a 300 budget. i would recommend

mb with carrycot
jane slalom with carrycot(older one can perch on this if necassery(sp)
silver cross sleepover (2 chassis available and has a stand for doubling as moses basket)

and for going in the back of car with 7 seat. defo a cheap umbrella folder seperate. can get used for holidays getting trashed by airline baggage handlers too.

with some good looking around you should get all 3 of those option under your price range in sales.

nappyaddict · 31/01/2009 13:50

who's got a girl? bargain little darlings coat age 3 on ebay

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 13:55

thanks i've just bid. lol

carrielou2007 · 31/01/2009 14:46

Has anyone got a black maclaren comfort pack? I can't find them anywhere apart from Boots online but not black.

I took black xt out today and have to say I do like it just not love it. It's like a much plainer version of the dazzle though no-where near as funky but it's growing on me.

Can't get used to this new layout, have changed back to classic but still not getting on with it!

lillypie · 31/01/2009 15:00

Hey carrie I've changed back to classic too and it seems ok. Glad the XT is growing on you lol

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 15:04

carrie?

im waiting for the new ones to come out, as ii've got my sheepskin on i don't really need a head cushion anyway.

glad its growing on you! i do like mine, its nnothing special but i think thats what xts are all about more practical than anything!

really bored today stuck inside waiting for lluka to wake up. but i did get a nice surprise my mum sent me a huge bunch of flowers to cheer me up?!

carrielou2007 · 31/01/2009 15:19

I'm watching those ones on ebay but I'm very impatient and I just want to order one and get it!!! Still waiting for my artic ox pupabag, typical it's meant to get really freezing and snow and it's still not here and can't use buggysnuggle as have sold it!!

Her dad came over and he liked it but then it is rather masculine.

We are watching Never Ending Story and dd just got really scared by the wolf thing and I'm like it's a really bad puppet!!

silentlywondering · 31/01/2009 16:21

Thanks for the advice will let you know which way I go!

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 16:51

please do. come back when you've decided and we will hunt you down a bargain silent!!

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 16:55

oh carrie we are all the same. do you have a toys r us near you i think they sell the comfort packs. i can't really recommend anywhere else as i have no pram shops near me. i think elmo said stirling pram centre do them too? but you would have to wait for them to arrive. i really think it should have come with one as well as the newborn head hugger. i want an orange one.

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 16:58

striling prM CENTRE HAD ABOUT 20 HANGING(damn caps lock) up when i was there last. no idea if they still have them and what colours.

Disenchanted3 · 31/01/2009 17:05

ANYONE WANT A PINK MAC COMFORT PACK? £10 DELIVERED X

carrielou2007 · 31/01/2009 17:19

Toys r us? Could ring them (about 25 miles away) or can I ring Stirling Pram Centre and they will post?? I also want some stick on LED lights for the buggy, I had some last year and they were brill at night but I think they were flashing dog collar lights but they did the trick!!!

Dis I'd love a pink one normally but this blasted xt needs to have a black one.
