got back last night. wanted me to collect kids from nursery and go do something. put my foot down and told him he could pick them up himself or arrange a time to take them away this wkd.

so well see. i need a break. he has to take them away. we discussed him having them over. he says if i sort out travel cot he might take them overnight

MrsMagooo · 30/01/2009 21:59

He really needs to pull his finger out! I hope it sorts it out & looks after them giving you a much needed break!

luna mix

I want someone to buy one and try it out so I can decide whether to get one

MrsMagooo · 30/01/2009 22:15

I wonder if it'll be as nice with 3 wheels?

I loved my Luna

OP posts:
nicolamumof3 · 30/01/2009 22:16

nappy don't start me off again!!! i've just decided not to get one!

i don't think they are going to be that different to the normal luna really. i would have to sell zapp or xt if i got one and don't want to get rid of either.

MrsMagooo · 31/01/2009 08:28

Morning all,

Does anyone remember the width of the back wheels on a Luna?

OP posts:
elmoandella · 31/01/2009 08:44

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 08:45

morning! no i can't remember mrs.m. not terribly wide though i don't think? im still v.tempted by the luna mix! feeling worse today absolutely full of cold. need to get kids dressed and have a nice hot bath.

MrsMagooo · 31/01/2009 09:08

A friend wants to know if it's smaller width wise then her Cam but I'm not sure - I can find it's 63cms wide when folded so I'm guessing it must me roughly the same unfolded?

Urgh Nicola hope you feel better soon

Peers round door and asks for help.

Have just found out I am expecting no 3. Want a decent pram that doesn't cost the earth but will last from birth to 3 ish. Needs to have a solid carrycot and be able to withstand my 7 and 3 year olds whilst going to and from school 3 times a day. I have to walk everywhere or get an ocassional bus. i am 5'7" and struggle to find prams/pushchairs that dh (6'+) and I can both push comfortably so any suggestions?

nicolamumof3 · 31/01/2009 10:07

something with air tyres and adjustable handle. everyone will say bugaboo (although these do cost the earth!) i expect but theres lots of others.

MrsMagooo · 31/01/2009 10:16

Silently when you say solid carrycot do you mean you want a carrycot & seperate seat unit?

A few I would suggest;

Quinny Buzz/Speedi
Bugaboo Cam
Hauck Infinity
Jane
iCandy Apple
Mutsy

If you'd be happy with a carrycot/seat unit all in one I'd also recommend the Skate

Yes a carry cot and a separate seat unit. But not a soft carry cot like the phil and teds. I want to be able to take it off the chasis and take it in the house if bubs is sleeping without a lot of faffing or worrying that 3 yr old could lean against it an squash carry cot or baby.

I had a lovely old pram for ds with a carry cot and separate seat unit which could face front or back but the handle was too low and I ended up with back ache.

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 10:52

silent

will you be putting it in and out a car at all. and will 3yo be hitching a ride? either by means of a board or by "perching" somewhere on the pram. are you bothered about it being rear facing once lo is out the carrycot and into pushchair mode.

would you be happy with a soft carrycot? or do you want a solid framed one?

does it need to go with a particular car seat at all?

elmoandella · 31/01/2009 10:53

when you occasionally use the bus is it a big wide double door type. or a kind where you would have to fold the pram?
