I think I was quite lucky with the P&T cocoon as DS fitted in til he was 5 & a bit months, would have fitted longer but he was curious

I don't know what it is, they just seem really stiff.

I use the P&T with DD on top in carseat and DS in seat underneath.

I dont like DD going under.

I know your not supposed to but we never leave them unattended and it seems very stable to me!

dollydimple9 · 27/01/2009 10:50

Right girls i don't post on here but i have to confess i do come and have a nosey every now and then at what you ve all been buying (being a fella pramaholic myself) and im in need of some advice on if to buy a phil & teds or not so i thought you were the best ladies to ask. I currently use my bugaboo bee and bugaboo cam with the buggyboard and revelo twoo seat but its a pain to push as it gets in the way (as im sure you all know lol).My dd's are 34 months and 16 weeks and im considering getting the lovely pink p & t as its on offer with kiddicare, but older dd does like to walk most of the time but sometimes gets tired or if im in a rush takes too long, so would it be worth me buying one ???
Sorry to go on all advice greatfully recieved x

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 10:52

Hi Dollydimple

You'll never find another twin imho that is as good as a P&T despite it's design flaw of a shite shopping basket, it's still the best there is.

I#d be lost without mine

Disenchanted3 · 27/01/2009 10:52

I would,

youngest sits in front and older one can hop in backseat if tired, if shes walking then put yor shopping in the back seat, i do!

Plus the resale value is really good, so you shouldn't loose out too much when you come to sell.

MrsMagooo · 27/01/2009 10:54

Hi Dolly personally I love my P&T & can't rate it highly enough!

They have good resale value too.

I tend to leave DDs straps undone as she can hop in & out as she pleases that way

Ours will be staying for some time as will be fab on holidays when doing lots of walking etc, my baby brother who's almost 6 can still squeeze in in it lol!

OP posts:
dollydimple9 · 27/01/2009 10:56

Only 4 left i need to decide quick , i think i will just buy one and if older dd wont go in it i can always sell it ,as dis said the resale is good so probably wouldnt lose much and then i can at least say ive tried one Thanks for your advice.

dollydimple9 · 27/01/2009 10:59

Does or has anyone else used one for an older child then mine then? thats what im worried about that she will be too big, my older girls all used a buggy passed 3 years but i always said i wouldnt have a double so made her walk but i put off going anywhere if i know she will moan.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 11:03

The front seat is HUGE Dolly, I've had an almost 4yo in there and she looked teeny!

Maclaren · 27/01/2009 11:08

Dolly she will love the back seat they all seem to! My DS used mine last summer and he was 4 and he is quite tall for his age!

dollydimple9 · 27/01/2009 11:20

Ive bought one anyway, so will decide when it comes if she likes it or not. Has anyone ordered off kiddicare before and know ho long delivery usually takes?

Maclaren · 27/01/2009 11:22

DD because you have ordered before 12 you will get the P&T tomorrow

dollydimple9 · 27/01/2009 11:24

Oh cool!,were going to trafford centre tomorrow night, will be ideal for time to try it out and won't get the wheels dirty if i don't like it lol.Im all excited now

Disenchanted3 · 27/01/2009 11:35

Im going trafford centre tomorrow night too! lol

Look for a navy P&T sport with pink happyflower carseat on top

claret1980 · 27/01/2009 11:35

Morning all!

Dolly Glad you have join the P&T owners! I love my P&T My ds1 loves to walk but there is no way I would take him into town walking as I wouldn't get anywhere! They are brilliant Can't wait till my ds2 can sit in the doubles seat.

Is there a weight limit that they can start sitting in second seat or is it at 6 months?

carrielou2007 · 27/01/2009 11:40

Anyone want a maclaren shopping basket or raincover before I stick them on ebay? From my quest but think they also fit a triumph.

Still undecided about the black xt, I just love the dazzle but the blasted raincover tips me over the edge (how silly I know). It does look lovely with the wolf buggysnuggle on it but a bit plain without.

Just feels a bit 'big' much more so than the dazzle and flamin wheels rattle so flippin much. Not used it outdoors though just in case I do sell it so may be better than I'm thinking on pavements.

Maclaren · 27/01/2009 11:43

Just spent £61.40p on an all singing all dancing Snunkie footmuff I do hope I like it lol!

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 11:46

Maclaren, which one did you go for? And what song does it sing

Maclaren · 27/01/2009 11:49

lol Mary

I have gone for the same as MrsM stalker alert lol! But mine is luxury cow fur with red fleece on the other side and red white and black ribbons! Am also thinking about getting the matching bag

dollydimple9 · 27/01/2009 12:06

Oh Dis i will look out for ya, i will be the stressed out one hopefully will my new pink p&t lol .

dollydimple9 · 27/01/2009 12:08

Not seen a p&t with carseat on, how do you find it, better then having baby in the back?

claret1980 · 27/01/2009 12:14

Would like to have ds2 in the car seat on the front instead of cocoon. Will have to see what connectors I need.

dollydimple9 · 27/01/2009 12:20

Oh so does the carseat go on front and other child sits in the back ? im confussed (not that it takes much).

Maclaren what you using your new snunkie on? ive never had one of them, but might have to invest on one for the p+t because they don't do the footmuff in pink grrrrrrrr ,they do it in all the other colours .

claret1980 · 27/01/2009 12:25

I'm getting a new hood for my P&T from Snunkie. She can do it in all different fabrics and colours. My hood is about £45 + postage.

"snunkie"

elmoandella · 27/01/2009 12:39

hey girlies the kaiser came today. i still really love the fuschiaa!! it's my fav. but the lime is the one that will stay as the xt will be used by both ds and dd.

dolly - i'm too late, but i frigging hate p&t's.

my dd at 18month is already too big for front seat as her head rests on bar. and ds is almost 3yo. so it's a no-go for me. plus i dislike the doubles seat being "under". i just cant get round it and think its odd and unfair.

plus you HAVE TO take doubles seat off to fold. which i feel is a real pita.

i've got a jane powertwin. seats are much much bigger than p&t. hoods arch over or completely remove meaning there's no maximum head height. and you put it in can boot with everything..yes... everything still atached. footmuffs, hoods, bumper bar. all still attached and thats going into my 207!! which is not a huge boot. and to take it out you unclip and sort of "shake" and it pops open. plus it turns on a 50p piece. and there's not a huge length to it. tbh it's not a great difference than the length of p&t with doubles seat. p&t can also tip with lo jumping in and out. my 2, yes both my lo's can jump in and out of powertwin and i dont notice a difference.

p&t sufer from wheel bearing and rusting problems aswell.

but you may love it. however if you dont kiddicare will accept returns and money back if you send back in original box if you dont like it.

oh and here's my xt with laiser

what do you guys think??fuschia nest or lime kaiser?
