Morning everyone I am waiting with baited breath to hear the final decisions on the XTs

I really liked the Dazzle Nicola it's very slick looking but when I showed DP a pic last night he said it was ugly

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets I have a navy fleece cosy toes if you are still after one. It's from John Lewis and practically the same design as a buggysnuggle.

MrsMagooo · 27/01/2009 08:36

The more I see of the Grand Tour the more I like it! Comes out in the UK in March....wonder how much though, it's $900 in the US!

i'm loving mine lilypie. it's all about the accesories with this one. i hate that school girl grey of xt. bluergh

i dont like the dazzle. dont know why. as i love silver cross. just cant stand it.

elmoandella · 27/01/2009 08:42

mrsm - i'm loving it with the silver chassis. in the pictures before it has a grey plastic chassis. the chrome is much nicer.

i do like it. but sadly i think my dc will be too big for it once it comes out later in yr.aaaand it's a bit low for me i think.

lillypie · 27/01/2009 08:45

MrsMagooo I love the advert for the Grand Tour
although I am sure I had a very similar buggy in the 80's not Maclaren though

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 08:45

lol MrsM - that video on the Maclaren link is like porn for certain people round here, bit in the style of the M&S foody ads ;) I actually like it it reminds me of the first buggy I had for my DD who is now 17, with the multiway bucket seat going on. Looks well comfy.

MrsMagooo · 27/01/2009 08:49

Lillypie it's based on the Maclaren Dreamer which was in the 80's/90's

OP posts:
4andnotout · 27/01/2009 08:55

Morning all
That grand tour is like going backwards in fashion rather forwards It reminds me of the maclarens of the 80's.
Got 5 watchers on ebay and my mb carrycot was bought for £50 within 3 hours of starting, so im pleased
Will a buggysnuggle or pupa bag fit in the doubles seat of a p&t? I like to have matching on my doubles you see
I really like
this
this
or this
Its for a navy p&t, will need 2 though
Got a day of ironing today Then can start listing dd4's newborn clothes on ebay.

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 08:57

oooh I loved the Dreamer and wanted one soooo baaddddd, my sister had one, the moo I had SC version of.

Lilypie as soon as Vit gets here and I know what colour it actually is I'll know what I am doing muff wise, black or navy or whatever

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 08:59

4andnotout I have pupabags and the fixings aren't as good quality as a Buggysnuggle, tbh for the doubles seat you're probably better off with a hook over back from Snunkie, thats' what I am going to get as the pupabag gets all crumpled and probably not comfy to sit on. Plus the ties are crap, I keep having to sew them back on, and they also undo all the while.

MrsMagooo · 27/01/2009 08:59

4ANO both Buggysnuggle & Pupabag will fit the doubles seat, I'd personally go with the Buggysnuggle though!

OP posts:
MrsMagooo · 27/01/2009 09:01

TOMP My Snunkie is a fab fit on my P&T, I'm a huge fan of hook over backs & Snunkie every footmuff I have is Snunkie apart from one lol!

lillypie · 27/01/2009 09:03

ooh what was the SC version called maybe thats what I had.I did have a gorgeous reversible pushchair from Silver Cross for DS2 but it was a very traditional model.

See I was a pushchair addict way back then!!
My Gran was the same, every time she looked after the kids they came back with a different pram

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 09:05

I couldn't tell you what it was called but I loathed it!! I went to the Transport Museum in Glasgow last year and was highly amused to see the buggy my DD had used in a frigging museum! Old? Moi? noooooooooooo!

I am a long time addict and girls let me tell you, it doesn't get better with age, so when your kids are grown up, become a Childminder and you can still induLGE!!
My first job (YTS ) was in Mothercare, in the pushchair dept ;)

4andnotout · 27/01/2009 09:06

Where can i get a snunkie from then please?

MrsMagooo · 27/01/2009 09:09

4ANO there are a few on eBay at the mo, just type in Snunkie or you can visit Lucy's site here

horsemadgal · 27/01/2009 09:21

I washed my P&T covers in the machine. It was a bit of a squash but they came out fine. They were quite old covers though, not sure I'd chance it with newish ones.

Mary, DH took my piccie looking at the prams in Glasgow Transport Museum. As soon as he saw the prams he was like 'Oh no here we go!'

lillypie · 27/01/2009 09:22

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets my first job was YTS too, in Richard Shops lol

TheOtherMaryPoppinsDiets · 27/01/2009 09:30

LOL HMG then you'll know which Silvercross I mean then, the purple squiggly fabric one. Have a feeling it was called a Wayfarer?!? My P&T is only an oldish one anyway, it's E3 so a few years old at best! Might be worth a try and if they come out horrid I'll buy new covers. In ORANGE!

Not having much luck finding my old buggy piccies Another one I always wanted was the Mothercare Allez - it was well funky and ahead of it's time.

Richards, ahhh memories!

nicolamumof3 · 27/01/2009 09:35

lillypie my dp doesn't like the dazzles either, but if i like it for £70 can't be bad eh?

rang kiddicare they are refunding £31.01 onto my paypal so they are all lovely and nice im pleased. its packed in box with the sheepskin on tho! waiting arrival on dazzle i still think i will keep it and have my zapp as my funky buggy? need a double anyway today as tate is shattered when i pick him up from nursery.

im off to docs in a bit as my migraines are getting really bad again.

nicolamumof3 · 27/01/2009 09:36

i remember richard shops! my mum used to go in there!!!

Maclaren · 27/01/2009 09:39

Morning All another day of ebay today need to sell all the crap stuff I have in Max's room so he can have it back lol

4ANO only thing with snunkies is that they are loads of money! your looking at nearly £100 for the two footmuffs!
