i am at all these t shirts at £20. I woudl pay this for a shirt for a special occasion eg wedding but not for "everyday". My two DS are under 4 and their clothes get covered in felt pen, paint and food stains that don't wash out

am i just mean and my kids just manky???

Pinkchampagne · 19/04/2008 18:55

Aztec have a sale on atm, but not sure how much is left.
I agree that the stuff from there is excellent quality, and the clothes really stand out.

it's his adored favourite

nappyaddict · 19/04/2008 19:03

lulabyloo - so was it the monkey tshirt you didn't like or the JJMB turquoise jacket?

lullabyloo · 19/04/2008 19:13

not keen on the monkey t shirt

nappyaddict · 19/04/2008 19:15

phew cos i'm bidding on the JJMB one

i have noticed people don't tend to like monkeys on clothes. i wonder why. i don't mind as long as it doesn't have cheeky monkey with it.

lullabyloo · 19/04/2008 19:19

its not that6 it's a monkey
it's just the design

nappyaddict · 19/04/2008 19:22

oh right ...

that's baffled me a bit lol.

what about this one?

accessorizequeen · 19/04/2008 19:47

I find when I pay more the marks come off fine in the wash without me doing anything (e.g. boden). And I have 2 boys born at same time of year so I want things to last for both. Most of the cheaper stuff I bought for ds1 just didn't last the first child much less 2nd, whereas m&S, boden, gap etc are still going strong. Plus they look quite good still. ds2 currently wearing stripey top from monsoon that looks lovely still after being worn to death by both!

accessorizequeen · 19/04/2008 19:48

butterfly, let us know the 'not on the high st' stuff turns out, I've never actually bought any!

Bink · 19/04/2008 20:06

Great big boys (ds just 9 last week but already challenging 11yo sizing) - M&S is good, if you get past the shiny England football gear; Zara is often excellent.

H&M goes badly off the boil for the big ones I think - all streety (skate-y graffiti & skulls), which is fine if you want streety but doesn't give you any alternatives if not.

lullabyloo · 19/04/2008 20:11

no dont like that either

nappyaddict · 19/04/2008 20:13

ha i challenge you to find a monkey tshirt you do like

ButterflyMcQueen · 20/04/2008 20:54

taken a trip to Hennes today - after filling my buggy to overflowing i remembered the online purchases

anyway it was good ish - some lovely little cotton poplin ( not sure if that is right word) in beige and white and blue and white stripes

long sleeved green t with owl on ( divine)
orange striped t shirt with collar
various other tops and lovely thin trousers to be either 3/4 or long

all in all a good haul - even got some (less hideous than it sounds) spiderman top as a gift for a school friend!

Snap, I have the owl top for both my ds's! They're so nice, and have washed really well. If I can find stuff in the right size in Hennes, I love it. The only place I could get nice jeans for ds2 with his rather large cloth nappy bottom.

lullabyloo · 20/04/2008 23:01

we have the owl top too
i do love it
now & again they have some great bits

lullabyloo · 20/04/2008 23:03

at spiderman top

surely not?
ye of such good taste

peasoup · 20/04/2008 23:08

What was the nasty "No added Sugar" Campaign?

ButterflyMcQueen · 20/04/2008 23:10

i laughed myself!!!

I had to hide it from ds as it is not for him

IN MY DEFENCE

its all black and silver with just the face

and

its a gift a gift it will not rest in the McQueen/Yates household for long!

OP posts:
lullabyloo · 20/04/2008 23:16
