i know you all like your bugaboo's and quinnys...etc, but i don't have no idea, so here is my wish list....

-3 wheels, preferably not a fixed front wheel
-needs to be a travel system with car seat
-preferably girly

so, i quite like the Graco excursion

here

but is there any similar? (for about the same price?)

Silver Cross xt thingy...I think this is exactly the same as the old Cosatto T4, with a few improvements. (Not sure how that happened, someone must have bought the design?)
Anyway we had the Cosatto for nearly 4 years and it was brilliant! Not good for the first 3 months as it isn't flat, so we put a soft cushion under DS's bottom to level it out!

It's a very heavy buggy but built extremely well, has a good swivel wheel (double so very stable), DS used it as a climbing frame in shops (people kept saying 'is that safe?' and it was - only fell over one time.)
Great shopping basket, lovely cushy covers, doesn't fold flat but if space no prob then it doesn't matter...

Only trouble was it got too heavy to steer after DS was about 3. And the swivel wheel would sometimes swivel in the middle of the road, but you could just wheelie it to the other side then !

So would recommend it. Worth every penny especially if got on ebay.

thanks you 2

i ended up buying a urban detour on sat, i went to have a look at it, and ended up going back on the night to buy it as i couldn't get it out of my head, but i'll just see how i go with it, and as it was only £40 i can afford to get a different one if i don't like it

ah that's great. i would probably get the carrycot that goes on it too cos i have found 3 wheelers don't tend to be great with newborns as the seats are so big and made to last the child til they are quite old. where did you get it from?

j20baby · 28/05/2007 22:39

i got it from the local classified ads, i have enquired at mothercare about the carrycot and they think they only fit the newer model, but i'm going to take it in to see if the carrycots will fit on to the frame (might even have a pink one )

sounds like a good idea. if they do fit i bet you'd get a carrycot on ebay.

j20baby · 29/05/2007 12:35

hopefully nappyaddict, as i know they cost £109.99 from mothercare which kind of defeats the purpose of getting a cheap second hand pram for the time being
