i know you all like your bugaboo's and quinnys...etc, but i don't have no idea, so here is my wish list....

-3 wheels, preferably not a fixed front wheel
-needs to be a travel system with car seat
-preferably girly

so, i quite like the Graco excursion

here

but is there any similar? (for about the same price?)

i do still have pink fleeces here as well

CarGirl · 25/05/2007 21:52

will you always be in the car or will you walk lots? TBH on that kind of budget you may be better off crompising on what you want in a pushchair and getting a techno xt or the new maclaren travel system (global?) downside is that baby is forward facing but it's okay from birth unless you plan on using it hours per day in which case back to my original suggestion.

CarGirl · 25/05/2007 21:53

of course with a bugaboo you could sell it on after 6 months and get nearly all your money back................... then get a buggy

j20baby · 25/05/2007 21:59

tbh, i don't imagine i will use it that much, maybe to walk to do the school run(about 15 min each way) but i intend to have a sling anyway. i don't really know till i have the baby, so i don't want to end up getting something that doesn't suit me.

imo you'd be better spending £200 on a good quality second hand pram that has years of life left in it than on a cheap bad quality brand new one.

CarGirl · 25/05/2007 22:01

I guess really do get a local 2nd hand pram type thing, sometimes ebay stuff is so cheap - 3 wheelers are great and lots do lie very flat and something roomy for baby to nap in is handy too.

nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 22:03

ebay 1

nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 22:04

this is the one i have

nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 22:09

very girly - PURPLE!

j20baby · 25/05/2007 22:12

was just looking on ebay

i like the first 2, and the purple is great but now i'm gettine more confused!

i know you said you didn't like the quinnys but do you like this violet colour?

j20baby · 25/05/2007 22:23

hmm, its not bad, i don't like the quinny's because the seat always looks too small for the child to be comfortable, but the ones on the link look ok, is there different types?

what about the mothercare urban detour?

OP posts:
j20baby · 25/05/2007 22:40

gosh you have been busy, thank you very much i have been looking on my local sales pages and so hopefully will get a decent one from near me

OP posts:
CarGirl · 25/05/2007 22:41

urban detour fine, quite bulky and heavy, not an off-roader either but go quite cheap on ebay so worth considering.

nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 22:43

i wasn't that impressed with it when i looked at it. very bulky, heavy, but not that sturdy imo. you can't have it facing you either.

i needed a second pram for ds and could only afford to spend about £100. this didn't leave me much choice with only the mamu 3 anywhere slightly near what i wanted.

so i looked on ebay and found the exact pram i want which would have set me back about £400. (the zooper i linked to earlier) and cost me £10 - with delivery! and it looks brand new!

j20baby · 25/05/2007 22:45

wow thats good nappyaddict, you selling it in the next couple of weeks?

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 23:08

unfortunately no. but there are some on ebay for about £40 i think. its best to look at the ones that are collection only then email the seller asking if they would use a courier like payperdrop. because the listing says collection only you will have less competition when bidding.

j20baby · 25/05/2007 23:15

ok thanks

I know its late but have you considered the Maxi Cosi Speedi they are great 3 wheelers with a swivel front wheel you can add a carrycot or the Cabrio car seat to it I had one and loved it, they come in nice colours as well
