i know you all like your bugaboo's and quinnys...etc, but i don't have no idea, so here is my wish list....

-3 wheels, preferably not a fixed front wheel
-needs to be a travel system with car seat
-preferably girly

so, i quite like the Graco excursion

here

but is there any similar? (for about the same price?)

thanks marmite, i will take a look.

any opinions on the 'silvercross xt 3 wheeler'?

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 24/05/2007 01:50

how is black girly

anyway:

imo the best pushchairs are

quinny 3xl
bebecar racer city
mutsy 3 wheeler
jane slalom
phil and teds

nappyaddict · 24/05/2007 01:57

and the bebe confort high trek

j20baby · 24/05/2007 10:47

Black isn't girly, that is why i asked for ideas

(am with Misdee et al that you probably don't really need a 3-wheeler or a travel system and ther's a better solution out there for you, also that the Graco carseat isn't as good as the Maxi Cosi or even the Britax)

And black can look girly once full of pink-clad DD, pink buggysnuggle, festooned with soft toys etc thus.

j20baby · 24/05/2007 11:44

Thanks mresbadger, not too bothered about the colour, just thought if girly was available, then that would be good.

what does DH have to say re him pushing a pink pram?

nappyaddict · 24/05/2007 13:58

have you looked at any of my suggestions? what do you think?

nearlythere · 24/05/2007 14:40

ooh pink first wheels city elite! you can put a carseat on it (think its maxi cosi- i'll go and check!) All accesories are avaliable in pink and the carrycot is great too!

j20baby · 24/05/2007 16:08

no dp, just a sperm donor, so it will only be me using it

nappyaddict - i quite like the bebecar and the mutsy, not too keen on quinny's, i really like the bebe comfort and the phil and teds.

nearlythere, i don't know if i looked at the right one, but it says from 6 months, is there one from birth or would i need the carrycot do you know?

thanks for all your help everyone, i will take a list of your suggestions when i go to have a look round, but you'll be happy to know i have decided against a graco

OP posts:
nappyaddict · 24/05/2007 16:45

i have a musty and i love it. so easy to push. only thing is you can't fold it down with the seat on facing you. you have to turn it round to forward facing. likewise the raincover only fits properly when forward facing.

nearlythere · 25/05/2007 16:07

you'd have to get the carrycot, you can also fit the maxi cosi car seat on the frame- its nice and lightweight and a dream of a colour!

goingfor3 · 25/05/2007 16:09

I really wouldn't go for a pram with a fixed front wheel, they are much harder to manouver.

j20baby · 25/05/2007 21:23

i've seen a car seat i quite like, and would have to get a seperate pram, so might end up not getting a travel system after all! i'm definately not getting a fixed wheel. is there any bad reports on the mamas and papas java aria from anyone?

nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 21:29

if you go for m&p get it from \link{http://www.kiddisave.com}

10% discount off the rrp and also m&p are well known for crap after service.

nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 21:29

oops \link{http://www.kiddisave.com/kiddisave}

nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 21:31

kiddisave

nappyaddict · 25/05/2007 21:31

finally lol

CarGirl · 25/05/2007 21:36

M&P aria is the worst pushchair I've ever tried to steer - honest! The graco citysport/citylite is much better if that's the type of thing you're after - and I'm not a graco fan either.

j20baby · 25/05/2007 21:38

thank you nappyaddict, does that mean that its not a bad choice?

they have them for £99.99 at Argos, i couldn't find them on the link but will look properly in a minute, and at the bedroom furniture

OP posts:
j20baby · 25/05/2007 21:39

oh bugger cargirl, thought i'd finally chosen an ok one

OP posts:
CarGirl · 25/05/2007 21:42

what's your budget? I'd recommend buying a 2nd hand bigger pram/pushchair type thing - check out ebay and get something local enough to collect and then spend your money on a decent buggy pushchair later on such as a maclaren quest.

CarGirl · 25/05/2007 21:46

actually you should buy misdee's bugaboo and buy new fleeces for it to make it girlie at £400 plus post it's a BARGAIN!

j20baby · 25/05/2007 21:49

hmm, your probably right, i'm only going to have about £200 at the most for the pram and car seat, and that would be stretching it, i think thats why i'm trying to get as much in one package as i can.

OP posts:
j20baby · 25/05/2007 21:50

x posted, that was your prob right about buying 2nd hand wish i could buy misdee's
