If so, what car seat do you have? DH is desperate for an Audi TT, but I am not so sure DS will fit happily in the back.

Becca - absolutely no idea. It is the top they do at the moment, until the GTi is released. Have not a clue on the letters!

Coddylicious · 25/05/2004 12:07

what do you get for it?

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:10

Coddy - I don't think my Dh is ugly either. We had climate control (one up from air con) as well in the convertible. That way you can have top up and air con on if too hot, or top down and heat on if a bit breezy!

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:11

Coddy??? You mean what's in the car - extras and all that?

Coddylicious · 25/05/2004 12:12

so you share a car then?

CountessDracula · 25/05/2004 12:13

Do they do heated windscreens and mirrors? It's the one thing that annoys me about my car, doesnt have them

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:14

We do now. Used to have 2 cars but no no longer have to, so sold the Smart car. Just have one, more expensive one instead. DH walks to work and we only have one parking space anyway. Is saving us a fortune

Coddylicious · 25/05/2004 12:15

heated front seats very good fro period pains

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:16

It has lots of 'toys' - automatic headlights, automatic wipers, automatic dimming rear view mirror, 6 disk CD, leather steering wheel, aluminium trim, sports seats, isofix fittings, alloys, metalic paint, etc. Sure I have missed loads though.

The GTi has pretty much same spec plus leather seats, faster, etc. from what I can gather.

Dh likes his cars!

CountessDracula · 25/05/2004 12:16

LOL! Cod your car is too flash for words

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:17

Oh Coddy - I don't like heated seats, always makes me feel a bit uncomfortable

CountessDracula · 25/05/2004 12:17

what is isofix fitting then? God I obv know nothing about cars!!!

Coddylicious · 25/05/2004 12:17

he he Maybe it gives piles?
lol

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:17

LOL. Boys and their toys! Besides have to keep up with the street cred at school, don't I???

CountessDracula · 25/05/2004 12:19

God I will obv have to go car shopping before dd starts school as I have farmer's car. Coddy can I buy yours when you get bored with it?

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:19

Isofix is special child car seat fittings - like metal bars that Isofix car seats fit too. Much much safer system and stops the problem of fixing them wrong - biggest safest issue with car seats today.

CountessDracula · 25/05/2004 12:19

can you buy or does it come with the car?

Coddylicious · 25/05/2004 12:20

no my car is not for sale - altho someone dud nick it once

Beccarollover · 25/05/2004 12:21

What if you dont have isofix car seat?

CountessDracula · 25/05/2004 12:21

NO! Serves you right you flashy old bint

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:24

Can fit any normal car seat as well in normal way with seat belt. And Isofic seats can also be fit in normal way if used in a car without the fittings too - second cars, etc.

Some cars have them as standard, others as extras - think they are factory fitted options though. I can thoroughly recommend Isofix to anyone - dearer than normal seat but safer!

CountessDracula · 25/05/2004 12:24

We have a curious form of competitiveness amongst my close group of friends, which is seeing who can have the crappest car. Have multi millionaire banker mate who drives ancient Renault Scenic that is always breaking down, a lord who drives an L reg metro etc. We were doing well with our F reg Golf until I got a job with lots of driving and had to get something safer. (the tt ones buck the trend)

Beccarollover · 25/05/2004 12:24

what car do you have coddy - i missed it/

Hulababy · 25/05/2004 12:25

Well lunch time now - can't miss that! Bye

Beccarollover · 25/05/2004 12:26

CD - maybe these people dont feel the need to display their status by their flashy car becuase they are secure in the fact they are mega rich/succesful without having to prove it by car?
