dh works in science and at a recent bacteria conference they spent a day discussing how unhygenic shower curtains are. Allegedy there is no such thing as soap scum - its all digusting bacteria/mould stuff....don't do it....get a glass door

when we redid it we had a curtain adna small "stub " screen as we reckoned if we sell and poeple have babies to bath or three boys(!) then a screen is blardy annoying.
