NomDePlume · 08/09/2006 17:31

I dunno iota, it is utterly stupid though

iota · 08/09/2006 17:32

well our shower bath has a lovely curved glass screen , which is hinged and folds back neatly against the end wall above the bath

not that I'm rubbing it in or anything

beckybrastraps · 08/09/2006 17:33

NdP - we HAVE the cheapest of the cheap starter homes, and believe me, there is no room for an ensuite!

But we looked at a house today with a downstairs loo, a "family bathroom" and an "ensuite bathroom". Our children may well be leaving the ranks of the great unwashed and having their own facilities.

JoolioTooterini · 08/09/2006 17:33

then pirate sex noises from behind the curtain

NomDePlume · 08/09/2006 17:33

The curved one is the same as DD's, iota.

iota · 08/09/2006 17:34

such a good idea aren't they, NDP

NomDePlume · 08/09/2006 17:35

Iota, this is DD's bath & screen

NomDePlume · 08/09/2006 17:36

Becky, we lived in a teeny weeny house when DD was first born in 2002 with a bathroom, ensuite (despite the main bedroom only being 9ft square!) and a downstairs loo ! It amazes me what developers/builders will cram in

beckybrastraps · 08/09/2006 17:40

Well thank god we DON'T have one in this house. It would be a ridiculous waste of space.

Next house though....

iota · 08/09/2006 17:40

and here's a lovely picture of ours, neatly folded back agains the wall so (and I quote) 'So children?s bathtime need not be a struggle and a long soak is all the more relaxing.'

nailpolish · 08/09/2006 17:42

we have a ginormous cubicle in our en suite

sigh

NomDePlume · 08/09/2006 17:43

You can fold ours outwards of inwards towards the tap/shower head. V good idea. We used to have shower curtain in previous house but it went a bit mildewy on the bottom despite cleaning and it never actually managed to contain the water. Oh and the DSs used to complain that it stuck to their nakedness when they were showering

NomDePlume · 08/09/2006 17:44

It is a sod to clean, np ? We have one of those walk in thingies and it takes forever...

I have a bit of a thing about bathrooms
