Why do men go off sex?

We're always hearing about how in marriages and LTR it's men who pester for sex and the women who go off it, and the reasons are heavily explored. I hate this stereotype because it works both ways... it's very often the other way around! I hear about it on here a lot and in real life. There is no sex at all and it's the woman who craves it. This doesn't seem to be as explored as the other way around because it's assumed all men want sex all the time.. when this proves this isn't the case. Stereotypes annoy me Wink

If you're in a sexless marriage/relationship like this, what reason does your man give for never wanting sex? It seems more taboo somehow but it shouldn't be..

thanks - its only a small part (excuse the pun) of the whole issue he had/has around sex.

We used the withdrawal method for the first year. I trusted him to withdraw before he came and maybe half the time he did, the other half, he suited himself.

I stated my objections loudly but was ignored. To this day i don't know why i tolerated it - probably because the sex was so infrequent, i was pathetically glad. And that upsets me because it feels as though he was being deceitful and manipulative.

Interestingly he could never get out of me quickly enough, never liked to hand around inside me... would ALWAYS have his eyes closed....

Jesus i am not painting a great picture of myself here am i?

I now face a future where pretty much all my trust has been destroyed. I'm so sexual myself, always have been, and its very very repressed due to lack of interest on the part of any suitable adult male.

I'm not fucked aren't i?
