I was very consensually, enthusiastically fisted for the first time the other evening. It was very pleasant, quite possibly the best orgasm I've ever had.

But, there was a lot of bleeding. I only realised afterwards quite how much blood there was. He was wearing a latex glove so I think the bleeding came from stretching rather than scratching.

Has anyone else had experience of bleeding after fisting? I didn't experience any pain at the time or afterwards. I am going to the GUM clinic tomorrow and will ask them about it.

Sorry, but just for the benefit of anyone unsure, there will no shame or embarrassment about going to the GUM clinic and talking about fisting.

I used to work in sexual health and GUM clinics are staffed by very lovely trained professionals who have heard tales of every possible shade that you could possibly imagine. They will respond with professionalism, courtesy and do whatever they can to help and will give you whatever advice and treatment you need to keep you safe and as healthy as possible.

They won't judge, laugh, embarrass you or make you feel foolish for engaging in whichever sexual practice floats your boat and it goes without saying that all this will take place with absolute discretion and confidentiality.

It's quite sad that people have to take the piss about a consensual sex act. Yes, there's an injury, but it could be something or nothing. The OP is going to seek help.

Definitely get it checked out at the clinic. Bear in mind if you use a lot of lube the actual amount of blood loose may be smaller than it appears.

OP You have probably torn the lining of the vagina. I presume just the top layer or it would hurt. Or a cervical erosion. I'm sure it will heal ok but be careful in future.

I've looked after patients who have torn the rectal lining and one who had to have a colostomy from fisting, but at least the vagina is designed to stretch more!

I agree that a trip to the Drs is required, but it doesn't always indicate anything serious or necessarily require treatment.
I have the same problem regularly. It's been checked by my GP and at the hospital. I have cervical erosion. It can be treated if it is causing a problem, but it isn't always successful so I was advised to leave it as it often gets better over time.

Op: Glad you are going to a GUM clinic to make sure it is ok. Is it still bleeding now? I know you said your partner was wearing a glove, but did he have his nails trimmed all the way back and filed down? Sounds daft, but even through a glove that can make a nasty scratch - even without breaking the latex. Hopefully it won't be anything more than that.

My wife and I have dabbled in this a few times, at her suggestion I must add - it had never been on my radar previously. It works for us but we spend a lot of time going very gradually - it isn't something we just do as a quickie - I think if people take their time and be careful it can be very rewarding.
