21. With a man I loved, I believed we would get married. I had relationships before that but never sexual - I wanted to wait for The One. In a way I am sad that he didn't turn out to be that, and I had always planned to wait until marriage - and I guess I thought I had almost done that because I "knew" we would be together forever. We weren't. I don't regret our relationship, we were very much in love and sex was an obvious natural part of that, and I couldn't have predicted how it would turn out. but part of me does regret not waiting until marriage.

I was also 26 (20 if we're counting oral sex). Unhealthily late? In my case, probably yes because a lot of the reason I didn't before was due to an eating disorder and low self-esteem issues. No-one showed me any interest, I certainly didn't get any as a teenager from boys my own age. I got a bit more as I got older but I wasn't prepared to have sex with some guy I wasn't attracted to for the sake of it.

Another main reason is because I have undercarriage issues and vaginismus. So I wanted to be with someone I really trusted. I got that and it was a really nice experience, although it later turned out I couldn't trust him but that's life I guess. Sometimes I wish I'd lost it 10 years earlier to be 'normal' but I'm not sure it would have made much difference to my life. I don't think I really appeal to a lot of men in that way, and the fact I'm inexperienced at my age makes it worse so it's a vicious cycle.

I'm 23 and still haven't.

I don't think it's unhealthy exactly, but I do occasionally worry about what will happen the first time - I imagine most people would assume by my age I've done it before and should know what it's like.

I haven't done other stuff either (other than a bit of snogging, and fully clothed fondling). The only time I've actually seen an adult male penis was when I accidentally walked in on my brother in the bath...

I was 15, with a boy I had been with for several months and stayed with for 4 years altogether.

I had been doing other "stuff" since I was just turned 13, full sex was a bigger deal and I have no regrets about who I did it with. Things had turned very sour by the end of our relationship but we had alot of fun together.

princess just find someone you can be honest with about the fact you're a virgin . I lost mine at 28 and there's no way I could have hidden the fact it was my first time, it hurt quite a lot. Don't stress about it too much though it's not that much of a big deal, just tell him you're not that experienced and take it slow

16 - on Valentines day! We'd been together for 6 months and stayed together for another 3 years. I loved him and we're still friends.

He was 18 and had lost his virginity at 12, nearly 13 to an 18 year old at a party in front of his mates - I was horrified but he said it was no big deal!

27 and I couldn't have asked for a better experience, it verged on a movie plot. Twas magical I tell ya.

I don't think it was unhealthily late, but I didn't announce my virgin state to all so no one apart from Dp knew.

15 just a month before I turned 16 we were both virgins. He was 16, 10 years later and we are still together and about to get married. To the pp who said they couldn't imagine only having been with one person I genuinely couldn't imagine myself being with more than one.

I have / had loads of issues, emotionally, mentally and with interpersonal relationships generally. I also didn't really have any sexual desires until I was 22-23 or so. I'd see other people having relationships and just felt a lot of confusion over how, why, why not me, do I want that or do I not want that, what's different about me? And so on. I was very attractive so I DID get a lot of interest, but always had trouble interpreting it, never recognised flirtation until weeks, months or even years later

I met my DP at 25 and everything just fell into place. It was so weird for me. But we slept together within weeks and it was great and I was glad I hadn't done anything sooner "just to get it out of the way" with a man I didn't feel a connection with.

I was just turned 17. Didn't exactly want to but didn't exactly didn't.... I regret it now though. Big time
