did you lose your virginity?

OP posts:
MephistophelesApprentice · 20/12/2015 11:26

20, unhealthily late, in my opinion.

Mince314 · 20/12/2015 11:47

Do you think mephistopheles? NObody showed any interest in going OUT with me until I was 20, plenty of guys would have done me the 'favour' of shagging me though, so it didn't happen til I was 20. I thought that was healthy.

GinAndSonic · 20/12/2015 11:58

My sister was 23, and I know a relative of a friend is 29 and a virgin. 20 isn't late I wouldn't say.

KittyOShea · 20/12/2015 12:04

21 which was quite late I suppose. Many friends had lost theirs at 17 or 18.

Am kind of Shock at the amount of people saying 13/14. But then I am in my 40s and grew up in Ireland so it may be a generational/ cultural difference.

thunderbird69 · 20/12/2015 12:12

omri · 20/12/2015 12:26

SleepIsForTheWeakAnyway · 20/12/2015 12:44

BeautifulLiar · 20/12/2015 12:47

NotCitrus · 20/12/2015 13:06

Consenually? 18. Still a lovely chap though we split up 6 months later.

alltouchedout · 20/12/2015 17:54
  1. It was crap. I didn't actually do it again until I was 17! And I don't think I had really, really good sex until I was in my 20, tbh.
Hotpatootietimewarp · 20/12/2015 21:24

15 few months off 16, massively regret it as it wasn't a relationship and it wasn't loving or anything

Mince314 · 20/12/2015 21:27

Kittyoshea im irish too and i know it has all changed now but yeh, it wasnt that odd back then.
my english friend had me in stitches telling me her dad walked in on her and her bf at 15 & she yelled at him to get out and he said sorry.

Mince314 · 20/12/2015 22:25

I know! My Dad would evicted the foreign body (teenage boy) and then there would have been weeks of painful analysis...............

  1. I don't regret waiting at all. That said I had done everything but by that age. Makes me feel sad to think of my very immature and sheltered 16 year old self being pressured into things I wasn't ready for/didn't understand. Already thinking about how I can prepare DD not to make the same mistakes even though she has only just turned one!
TheDowagerCuntess · 21/12/2015 08:01

DH grew up in a small village on the west coast of Ireland and lost his at 13. He's 41 now.

I was thoroughly shocked. He said there wasn't much else to do.

Wanted get it out of the way.
I was dreading , I wanted it to be someone I didn't know that well.
I thought I would be mortified if I had to see him very often.
I did fancy him , he didn't know it was my first time.

Wobblystraddle · 21/12/2015 08:40
  1. I don't think it's unhealthy late, as a pp said - in fact, I find that quite offensive.

Having said that, I did have some issues - it would have been around 18 if my body had done what I wanted it to when I wanted it to.
