Last year there was a very helpful thread discussing the Sutton grammar schools. Results of round 1 coming out tonight according to the old thread's timelines!
Would be helpful to know what everyone gets once you know! They seem to come out in batches too.

use exam berry and exam paper plus - my son passed last year and is in Wallington now. those worked best fo us

Could someone please help with the format of English Stage 2, I've heard that there was written comprehension last year. What is the split between Comprehension (is it 1 mark or longer answers) and Creative Writing, was the creative writing a continuation based on the comprehension?
For maths, does working out steps have marks?

I've read that working out is not marked, just the answer

Stage 2 is different for girls and boys so depends on which one you look for.

the girls had only creative writing last year which was a descriptive writing piece about someone you admire. Difficulty was it didn’t say whether it should be a living or dead person. It’s useful to discuss with your child how to interpret such open ended writing tasks - they really need to approach it with an open and creative mindset. Good luck everyone!
