Just heard from Whitgift - we received an offer for 10+

mna30 · 15/02/2025 13:12

Hi, We've been offered a scholarship for Whitgift. Does Trinity offer more than Whitgift? How much are academic, sports, and music scholarships worth? Has anyone received both academic and music or sports scholarships worth more than 15%? Thank you.

Doorframe2024 · 15/02/2025 16:15

We got a sports scholarship worth 20%

mna30 · 16/02/2025 12:40

@Doorframe2024 Thank you so much!

I invite some thoughts from this group - our DS has fortunately got in City of London School / Trinity (Art Scholarship) / Whitgift - all 10+. Purely from a school standpoint, are there any suggestions on how to choose amongst the above? Thanks in advance

Congratulations 🎊 if I were you I'd go with the trinity with the scholarship. All 3 schools sounds similar according what I've heard. So Trinity would be what I would choose

Congrats to your son on his achievements! All fantastic schools. Something to consider I suggest, is travel. My son spent years travelling quite far and although he never really complained and sort of got use to it, he was exhausted! I wish we had done things differently in hindsight. It may or may not be a factor for you, but this is what I would recommend.

I am looking for an advice and guidance regarding my son's offer to City of London School (CLS) for Year 7. As a new parent to the school community, I am hoping to connect with other CLS parents who can provide insights and support during this transition.
I would greatly appreciate information about any parent groups, forums, or networks where I might obtain valuable advice about the school. Currently, I do not know any CLS parents personally and would welcome the opportunity to learn more about the school experience from those with firsthand knowledge.
Could you kindly advise me on how I might find such a parent community or support group?
