Bromley waiting list

Hi

Looking for experiences on the Bromley waiting lists, they have said they won’t tell us our position, nor will they start offering places until mid-April. Anyone have any experience of this? Do they really wait that long or is it just a ruse to stop you calling them at the start?

I know other London boroughs where they have already been told their position on the list.

I dint think the Kent reallocation has happened yet. Usually the super selectives reoffer and this starts a cascade of moves that also affect Bromley.
Apparently Bromley work in batches so may take a while. Last year they were so slow that a lot of kids missed the transition days

We still haven't heard anything from Bromley Council inspite of being on waiting list position 1 for last 3 weeks for BullersWood Boys school, any idea ?

have you called them? I called periodically.

Yes, I spoke to them today, still position number 1.. . I would have thought after kent 2nd round of offers there would be some movement.🤔

Kent gives 2 weeks to accept places. They then have to tell Bromley who process in batches. You will need to wait a little longer for the waiting lists to start moving as places are not freed up until places at new schools are accepted by families.

Possible to go down the waiting list if someone higher up the priority applies as a late applicant (looked after child ehcp etc).

Just to let you know we got offered for Bullers Wood boys today ☺️.

We are on still on waiting list for few Grammar schools, but we are happy with this school too.

Thats great news @Bromley12. We are still waiting on grammar school drift down as well. Fingers crossed. My DS is Y9 at Beths and loves it. It has the right balance of sports fun and work
Also the choices they have for GCSE are brilliant and diverse
