School offers day 2023

So.... secondary school offer day is almost upon us. How is everyone dealing with the wait?

My DD is thinking about it far more than I would have hoped, is counting down the days and asking everyday if they will come out early. She's angry at the council that they can't sort the whole process out in a week. Apparently it's "not that hard to sort it out"🤔 I have tried to explain the process and that it's not just her it's every other child in the district (and neighbouring district as we've applied for schools there too), but she's just being impatient to know.

I'm thinking about it...but I thought I'd be worse with her been dc2 and wanting her to go to the same school as dc1. (No sibling priority at that school) but she's got a good chance of it so trying not to stress.

So how about everyone else?

Panicking now as logging in but can't see that anything has been updated.
Did everyone else's just show as 'LA has received the application'?
Mime just states this and doesn't give any other options other than to view the application. Not sure if I'm looking in the right place?!

@Muniononion says we are on waiting list for second choice so will see if I can find out what position and what the chances are.... the only good thing about the school we got is it's the closest. I'd seriously consider homeschooling while we wait for second choice that's how badly I rate it

I’m Worcestershire but our offer only showed when I clicked on my submitted application - good luck. The wait is horrid

Didn't get any of our 3 choices.

Ended up offered the one school DS really didn't like and DH very unhappy too. I didn't think it was that bad but SHIT DS is going to be gutted.

I've emailed to get onto waiting lists so really hope this isn't the end.

I got my email at 11.55 but it went into my junk mail, got the school we wanted, it says i dont need to do anything though and only to get in touch if i want to appeal
