An opportunity for parents of DC applying to private and grammar schools in SW London for entry in year 7 in 2023 to share their journeys.

DS has just completed the KGS survey (which he deemed a bit "fishy"!)

Just picking up on some of the WHS comments, I cannot rate Fionnuala Kennedy (Jane Lunnon's successor) more highly. Extremely warm, down to earth and very popular with the girls and parents alike (in my experience anyway).

The exam timings mix up mentioned by @BlueTick sounds a bit troubling though. You do hear of the occasional exam mix up unfortunately, which is so tough on the kids. DD had a negative exam experience a few years back at Emanuel when there was an issue with the papers. Her group had to stop one of the papers (I think Maths) part way through due to a printing error and start the English paper while additional Maths pages were photocopied! Quite unsettling for the candidates, but we received a sincere apology email that evening. It hasn't put us off applying for DS this time around and very much hoping for an offer!

NLCS results have started coming out; do a lot of SW girls apply to NLCS as well?

Hoping SHHS comes out today as well, the wait is too much.

@branchmom1234 not really SW London strictly speaking but certainly some from Central London (Kensington / Marylebone / Chelsea) due to their school bus coverage, so there will be a few on this thread from Central London. There are always a few girls from Pembridge / Glendower / Falkner who apply to NLCS.

Hi is the SPGS result expected today or tomorrow? Their last email was unclear on that. Have the emails started coming out?

Any feedback from LU interview this morning? I am particularly keen to hear about the immersive classroom exercise (which is a new thing for them I believe).

Hello, only recently discovered this thread and wishing I had found it much earlier as it’s really helpful. My eldest daughter is doing the 11+ process and we’re almost there but applying to music scholarships as well so the process is taking forever.
Is anyone else at the FHSS interview day tomorrow?
My eldest is one of four and the thought of doing through this process another 3 times makes me want to pass out!

Yes, my dd is doing the FHSS tomorrow as well.

My dd said it was like a regular lesson. After that they did some fun science experiments.

How was the LU interview?

I think some people are still doing LU this afternoon. so people might want to wait until a bit later to comment.
