i myself have been looking for this thread and have been unsuccessful. Saw a couple people mention it over the past day or so on the 2022 one.

so here we go, albeit a bit late.

has everyone visited all the schools on their lists?

how many schools are everyone applying to?

what schools are you applying to?

how is the preparation going?

i know some exams have taken place, how did they go?

wishing all the whirls good luck with preparation and exams, hope we all find the right schools for our daughters.

The wait is over. It’s a YES to interview for DD for Surbiton. PHEW!!! Phase 1 complete.

DD hasn't made it to interview stage for Surbiton. I'm so disappointed for her 😭

Emanuel exam went well and they made it very pleasant. My dd was super happy coming out. Really hoping she gets invited for stage 2! Do we know when to expect news?

@snowgirl1 how many other schools did she apply to? Does she have back ups? We have to wait until early Jan to hear back. The wait feels like forever and I am nervous.

@snowgirl1 oh gosh I’m so sorry. That’s really sad to hear. :-( hope she’s ok. It’s a brutal process.

We haven't told DD she hasn't made it to the next round of Surbiton yet. We've got two applications to go - but one was aspirational and the other has increased in popularity, so it's not looking good.

@SamPoodle123 not sure when we'll hear from Emanuel. I know a few are sitting the exam next Friday. Interviews are mid January so I don't imagine before Christmas??

re: Ibstock second stage. The email just refers to 1 hour Maths and 1 hour English. Does anyone know the type (e.g. multiple choice?) and whether the English includes creative writing?
Still a favourite, but I have say that the information on assessments is rather opaque.

@snowgirl1 I'm so sorry to hear that, I know how disappointed you must be feeling, we had the same with KGS. Sending lots of positive vibes for your other schools. Stay strong, your DD will be ok. When do you hear on the others?

@QuiteAJourney We don't know anything else on the Ibstock Stage 2, but if we find anything out, will share here. I'm sure it will involve creative writing given that that wasn't tested during Stage 1.

I do wish that schools were more upfront...

hello, is it true that Ibstock invites almost everyone to the 2nd stage? Also, my DD is really struggling with Maths & VR in adaptive exams. She feels really disappointed and thinks her exams are not going well.

Not sure. I only know of people who have had an invite to round 2
