Exactly terf as everyone will then want you to convert to letter grades and that's when we can be creative Grin

JugglingFromHereToThere · 12/06/2018 22:14

Thanks sos - he probably does have that slow and steady approach, sometimes maybe a little too laid-back, but mostly a lovely lad!

JugglingFromHereToThere · 12/06/2018 22:16

Did many others have a difficulty in finishing maths today?
Edexel apparently

BlueBelle123 · 12/06/2018 22:16

Juggling when my DD did her maths GCSE her friend didn't even attempt the last couple of questions but she still not an A* whereas DD did and she got an A

TerfTerfTerf · 12/06/2018 22:18

Oh dear, DS has just presented me with a sore bum Confused Looks like sweat sores, probably from too much sitting in tight pants under a hot duvet pretending to revise but actually watching Netflix of course I don't have sudocreme any more but savlon smeared on and instructed to sleep naked to let some air get to it. He's now dreading sitting in chemistry tomorrow...

goodbyestranger · 12/06/2018 22:19

Juggling DD was decidedly pushed. Just finished the paper she says but very little checking time, which is fairly unusual for her. Edexcel GCSE.

BlueBelle123 · 12/06/2018 22:19

that should say got.

DS did Edexcel he finished the paper but who knows how many mistakes might have been made along the way......

Sostenueto · 12/06/2018 22:21

All will be well jugglingmummyand end of day he tried his best and that is all that matters!Flowers

For inspiration I told dgd that each exam was like running a marathon and now, this last week you are within 600 yards if that finishing line (6 exams). Now us the time to take a huge deep breathe and sprint to the finishing line. After all who wants to run a marathon and when you have the lead not want to win the race? So go for it! Tonight she said 'nan-pai I only have 300 yards to go and I'm lengthening my lead'. I said that's the way! All this hard work is going to get you that gold medal! '

Sostenueto · 12/06/2018 22:24

Copy, copy, paste, paste, copy all, copy all, paste.......nothing again!?? I'll write them out in morning g when my finger doesn't hurt so much!

BlueBelle123 · 12/06/2018 22:26

sost I think I prefered your other poem Wink

EllenJanethickerknickers · 12/06/2018 22:28

DS3 said the edexcel paper 3 was definitely the hardest.

EllenJanethickerknickers · 12/06/2018 22:29

*maths paper 3 that is.

Sostenueto · 12/06/2018 22:42

There was a thread for mums(and dads)
Who had constant trouble with their undies.
It was full of sums and dcs fads
It welcomed all and sundry(ies)
It went for the record of the most threads
On Goves favourite topic
'how to kill education dead'
Until the knicker brigade told him to 'hop it!'
But now they are full of dread
In case mumsnet kills the thread, dead dead!
No award, no cup and nothing to sup!

goodbyestranger · 12/06/2018 22:45

Yes Ellen that was the overwhelming vote at school too.

AlexanderHamilton · 12/06/2018 22:45

Did said maths was good with some tricky problems. She’s still laughing about yesterday’s Biology lemurs & the daxtvthere was only 1 homeostasis question.

Sostenueto · 12/06/2018 22:45

Especially for bluebelle........my English not up to a grade 4 so vest I go through the door!!!!!! Nite nite!

TheThirdOfHerName · 12/06/2018 22:46

Love it Sostenueto

mmzz · 12/06/2018 22:50

Juggling DS did maths edexcel today. He finished it, but with a lot less time to spare than paper 2. He said there were a couple of questions that he had to stop and think for a minute on.

I'm trying not to sound boastful. Just say that it was a more difficult paper than paper 2.

Sostenueto · 12/06/2018 22:53

Thanks thirdFlowers

EllenJanethickerknickers · 12/06/2018 23:03

That's more like it, sost!

EllenJanethickerknickers · 12/06/2018 23:05

terf TMI! Shock Your poor DS. I still have an enormous tub of Sudocrem from yonks ago. It doesn't go off, does it? Wink

TerfTerfTerf · 12/06/2018 23:11

ellen truthfully I only ever had the trial size pots of sudocreme and bepanthan from the Bounty packs. Kids never seemed to need much on their bums (used washable nappies). So they'd run out by the time we potty trained Wink

Teenmum60 · 12/06/2018 23:17

Good luck to everyone tomorrow ...DD is having a 6th form uniform fitting after Chemistry (I completely failed last Friday and she missed the appointment)..she is insisting that I go along...which is a surprise because she has not forgiven me for the long skirt/kilt she is still having to roll up (a lot) in Yr 11 (she has crazy long legs and is 5ft 9 and I can see its going to be fun fitting because its a pencil skirt which the girls struggle to sit in).

Petalflowers · 13/06/2018 02:41

Dc also, seems to be relaxing more than revising at the moment but assured me he has done revision.

Dc1 is in year 13 somdid the old system, so,there won’t be a direct comparison between the two.

Sostenueto · 13/06/2018 04:47

Good luck to all for exams today!
