And any other schools you may wish to add... Have used threads from the previous few years as part of my research and ds sat Trinity today! I'm more of a lurker than a thread starter but decided to bite the bullet and offer a hand to hold. Good luck to all dc's sitting exams over the next few weeks! Grin

It's a yes from Whitgift.
Waitlist from Trinity.
Whitgift was DS preferred so very happy about that.

A5 thick letter from Whitgift. Four pages, folded plus stamped return envelope. Welcome sort of letter from Head and another from Registrar /Deputy Head of Lower school, an acceptance form and bank details page.
We wanted bursary, which they confirm we will get in the letter, but they said we should have the details for it, but we did not get any details, and our acceptance depends on how much they will offer us.

No letter to DS.

Smaller one page folded in letter from Trinity.

Congrats to those have received offers.

Good luck to everyone.

orangetiger · 09/02/2018 10:36

brilliant space that's 2 offers for W 10+ and 1 for St D so far... ( bias obvs. but I really hope you choose W!)

MeetieVonWrinkleSqueak · 09/02/2018 10:37

Congrats, stourton! - I'm glad that you got the offer from the school you preferred.

Fingers crossed one the bursary amount - if I were you, I'd be straight on the phone to the school to ask about it. Don't wait, as they will only get busier as more people get their letters.

stourton · 09/02/2018 10:37

Meany c5, envelope. I mean the half of a4

Firefox1066 · 09/02/2018 10:38

Congrats Stourton and thanks for the envelope details!!

stourton · 09/02/2018 10:38

Will contact them asap.

space grrrrr the post has been but nothing from St D's for us. I think we must live in a post black hole. But we have got a yes from the v academic girls school which I thought was a long shot. So v taken aback.
Well done people. I don't even know if we have a second post anymore- think will have to wait til tomorrow.

Jige · 09/02/2018 10:39

This time last year this was me, anxious yet excited of receiving those envelopes in the post. My DS1 sat for W & T 10+ last year. He chose W as he so wanted W so much. He is loving it there!! Though I have to go through all of this next year with DS2 which I'm not looking forward to.

All the very best ladies, fingers crossed and good luck. Your DSs' have done so well to get this far!!!

MeetieVonWrinkleSqueak · 09/02/2018 10:42

Congrats on the offer, citykat - a nice surpirse!

I think as your post has arrived, you would be perfectly OK to ring St D and explain that your letter didn't arrive, and they should be able to tell you. (I know W & T at least are happy for people to do that).

Wherearemymarbles · 09/02/2018 10:43

So A4 envelopes for the yes’s and standard for your son did amazingly well.... but he’s on the wait list.
Lucky for DS he got scholarship and full fee offers for his 1st and 2nd choice. He is on the wait list for our 1st choice which is better academically but even if are offered a place I am not DS would want to go.

stourton · 09/02/2018 10:44

Oh sorry, Yes just looked again, the letter from RegistrarDeputy Head of Lower is addressed to DS.

orangetiger · 09/02/2018 10:44

jige so glad to hear your DS loving W.. congrats tourton is that 10+ for W or 11+?

spacecadet48 · 09/02/2018 10:50

orangetiger I love W, my eldest went there, my DD is at St D! But DS wants to go to W and his sister wants him to go their too.... Grin

orangetiger · 09/02/2018 10:54

space haha that's funny - DS sounds hilarious

orangetiger · 09/02/2018 10:55

space i mean DD sounds hilarious

stourton · 09/02/2018 10:55

It's 10+

orangetiger · 09/02/2018 10:56

space do you live nearby? we are a hefty commute from lonodn...

orangetiger · 09/02/2018 10:57

tourton briliiant! that's 3 10+ for W so far

spacecadet48 · 09/02/2018 11:03

orangetiger we are not close to W and no easy direct route, when my eldest went we used to drive him from Dulwich to Forest Hill station where he could get a train straight to south croydon. Then he met friends and would get trains and trams! Was an early start though...

Emma303 · 09/02/2018 11:06

I'm starting to think maybe postman has already been while I was out! I'm too scared to phone W and ask. Well done to those of you that got offers

SoupDragon · 09/02/2018 11:15

Congratulations to those with offers :)

space DS1 was at T when DS2 was doing all this. DS2 said he wanted to go to W so he had a legitimate reason to hate his brother 😂😂 I sent him to T and they actually used to hug whenever they saw each other in the corridors [happy sigh]

orangetiger · 09/02/2018 11:15

space ok thanks.. i'm getting ahead of myself and poor taste planning future route to school when others still waiting to hear. apologies everyone. very annoying of me.

MumOfLL · 09/02/2018 11:18

Hi, Congrats to those have received good news this morning.
Me too, DS has an offer for 10+ at W as well.
However, it will be full fee though so we have to now work out if we can afford it!

spacecadet48 · 09/02/2018 11:20

orangetiger I know! I cant contain my excitement as my DH had decided my DS and learning difficulties and wouldn't get offered any schools! Good Luck everyone, it really does feel like we have gone through all this together
