Ealing, great to hear your good news!

I am still waiting for the post......

zumbaqueen · 13/02/2015 11:59

We have 10+ offer from KGS for DD in big envelope- no letter to child though ( from previous post)??and breathe.

Flowersinwinter · 13/02/2015 12:05

We have an offer for LU - was a thick A5 envelope so looks like good news biascutshirt

ealingwestmum · 13/02/2015 12:09

HOW do you have so much self restraint biascut? I can tell you that describes good news though...Grin

Thank you chocfinger, I am hoping you get that post soon and your DD gets the right sporty school for her!

Great news zumba!

biascutshirt · 13/02/2015 12:11

Thanks very muchSmile

Juliemohan · 13/02/2015 12:19

DD got through 10+ KGS!

biascutshirt · 13/02/2015 12:20

I'm in the office so can't open them!
I only agreed because I learnt on here that you can tell from the size of the envelop. Thank god for MN

Dinocroc · 13/02/2015 12:21

Ooooh well done Zumba queen. My letter is sitting at home then right? Grin. Biascut open it and reseal it. I would .....

zumbaqueen · 13/02/2015 12:32

Echoing the letter size info from MN. You have been a wonderful source of info and support. Hope all your chn get what they want.

Afrodizziac · 13/02/2015 12:37

Had a heart-stopping moment when I saw official-looking small envelope - but it was only an invitation for cervical screening...

Then found large envelope and just had to cut through address window to see the first line of the letter! Could've tried old-fashioned steaming but could'nt wait for kettle to boil.

So delighted with a place. And can't wait to see DD's little face.

So, next year back here together waiting for KGS 11+ scholarship offers? ??

zumbaqueen · 13/02/2015 12:49

Well done Afrodizziac ( and DD!) . See you there in 2016!

Afrodizziac · 13/02/2015 12:54

And to Juliemohan and DD!

I have to calm down now and stop myself going to Bentalls tomorrow to buy the uniform!!

The house is a tip so an hour or two of tidying should ground me.

Juliemohan · 13/02/2015 13:04

Congratulations Zumbaqueen and Afrodizziac! Are you planning to secure the spot or try again next year for other schools ?

Afrodizziac · 13/02/2015 13:13

I'm happy with KGS so will take the place. DD may still decide to go for SPGS, in which case she can't relax too much. I was wondering how I'll get her to do homework again instead of endless hours on Minecraft - she might feel she'd done her bit!

I have DD2 in yr4 so hopefully things go well with her 10+ next year, but she will do better in an all-girls school.

Are you decided? At least this is 'one in the bag', whatever else happens.

GJHmum1 · 13/02/2015 13:17

Yes LU offer in nice think A5 envelope!!

Dinocroc · 13/02/2015 13:43

A 10+ offer for us too. Phew! I can avoid the whole 11+ next year. I sense far too much relaxation to aim for scholarships. Well done all! Grin Wine

Juliemohan · 13/02/2015 13:54

Congrats Dinocroc!
Afrodizziac- we are a bit confused at this point. Kingston isn't very close to where we live so we might try for G&L and LU next year and see how things pan out! Very confused though:/

mertonmama · 13/02/2015 13:55

JAGS offer with scholarship - really delighted for DD. Can't wait to tell her.

DarkBlueEyes · 13/02/2015 14:09

OMG such brilliant news on here! Poor chocfinger, hope your postie comes soon.

I've had a bit of a BlushBlushBlushBlushBlushBlush

After going to surbiton open day yesterday and chatting with registrar, she rang me today and has offered a place as they don't want to lose us to another school!!!!

Omg!!!!!!!ShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShock

I have an actual choice!!!! Though of course this may prove my undoing.....

mertonmama · 13/02/2015 14:15

Dark Blue - I am so pleased for you! Smile

You never know, you might find yourself with more offers by the end of the week! Surbiton is a great choice!

ealingwestmum · 13/02/2015 14:15

Now that must beat any letter offer dark...what a lovely dilemma you now have...well done to you and your DD!

Dinocroc · 13/02/2015 14:33

That's such good news Darkblue ! You'll end up with a pile of choices I bet Grin.

amidaiwish · 13/02/2015 14:52

Wow what a lot of good news on here today! Not a bad Friday 13th then!

Afrodizziac · 13/02/2015 15:09

Oh, Dark, I'm so happy for you. Such a relief going into half term with more certainty!

wheresthebeach · 13/02/2015 15:44

That's brilliant Dark. Well done your girl!
