Does anybody know if/when this is starting in Scotland? Have done a fair bit of searching but can’t find any info on it but know it’s open for booking in England.

Just got a reply from the missing letter link. Mine is next Saturday. I'm 35.

Icannever · 18/05/2021 15:27

Fife was doing under 40s as of last Saturday

Summerzz123 · 18/05/2021 15:28

I’m in east Dunbartonshire and I know people who are 39 who have had theirs in the past couple of weeks- under greater Glasgow health board.
I’m 33, so not holding out much hope for the next few weeks..although have a family member same age who is getting hers this week in England!

Bluesycamore · 18/05/2021 15:41

Our mid 40s friends have still not received a letter yet (Borders) I got a letter 3 weeks ago to make an appointment as a vulnerable household contact, still heard nothing.

TheCanyon · 18/05/2021 16:23

Just got a reply from the above link. I'm on June 1st

rainbowunicorn · 18/05/2021 16:24

Plump82 · 18/05/2021 16:31

Bluesycamore · 18/05/2021 16:34

Does this count if you’re not south side? I see he has changed his tweet to say ‘check if you’re booked in for an appointment’. I did check via the online form and it says that there’s nothing in the system for me..

Can I ask what age everyone is? I’m 33, but also a teacher and finding it odd that you get people are now getting the vaccine ahead of myself, and other older teachers, who live about 20 mins from us..

Summerzz123 · 18/05/2021 16:46

*young people- 18-29

Invisimamma · 18/05/2021 16:48

I'm 32 and getting mine next week. I hadn't received a letter but used the 'missing appointment' link I got a text 5 minutes later with my appointment.

rainbowunicorn · 18/05/2021 16:50

@Bluesycamore fingers crossed it will be soon

Can I ask what local authority you’re in?

Lotsa folk moaning on the nhs borders fb page, particularly about not receiving a letter at all.

emmathedilemma · 18/05/2021 16:56

The Borders announced last week that they had a known issue with letters being sent out and if you over 40 to ring or fill in the online form. I posted a thread about it after hearing it on the radio.

Doesn't say what age group are being contacted, but you can see the % vaccinated by health board and age groups

Callisto1 · 18/05/2021 17:03

I think the call centre uses the same system as you get online @emmathedilemma. It took me 7 attempts over 2 days to swap mine. I checked every reasonable centre and all days. So if you're ok with yours I wouldn't go through the bother!

sparkle17 · 18/05/2021 17:07

The 2 biggest cities have the lowest % of first doses. They should really target densely populated areas or at the very least make sure they are not lagging behind other areas....particularly Glasgow.

Ecthelion · 18/05/2021 17:13

Only 9,362 first doses again today. And Scotland now has nearly half a million doses allocated that they haven't taken delivery of. Complete lack of urgency! I find it really frustrating. twitter.com/PaulMainwood/status/1394643476361383937

emmathedilemma · 18/05/2021 17:52

What's also shocking me is the age group of new cases and hospital admissions, why is no one talking about how far behind we are with vaccines?? www.travellingtabby.com/scotland-coronavirus-tracker/

ContadoraExplorer · 18/05/2021 17:57

I filled in that form and they texted to say they couldn't find me so someone will investigate. It might just be that they've not got as far as me though 🤷‍♀️

Invisimamma · 18/05/2021 18:01

@summerzz123 I'm in NHS Forth Valley area. Most of my friends of similar age have appointments this week and next week. I have many friends in Edinburgh too as I used to live there and most of them have appointments on Tuesday next week, all early 30s.

Tbh it's earlier than I expected to be called and I feel the vaccine roll out is going pretty well.
