2019 SQA Results

So the 6th of August is fast approaching... here is the 2019 thread.

Ds was sitting a mixture of highers and Nat5's. So we'll see what this year brings.

I'm just grateful it's not 2 lots like last year as it was a mare.

Joining this thread at the last minute! Dd waiting for nat 5 results by text. She's pretty clever, but did no work. She doesn't seem at all bothered - I'm the nervous one!

Glad I found this. DD waiting on Nat5 results. She failed most of the prelims so she's really scared what tomorrow will bring.

DS is blowing off steam via the PlayStation (or whatever device it is that we have in the spare room). He’s completely stressed, partly because he spent all day in happy bliss having forgotten once again that tomorrow is results day (despite just yesterday being all excited about free Nando’s). I rather spoiled it for him by asking if he wanted me to wake him early tomorrow. I swear he lives in a parallel world sometimes. Hmm

We don't have any particular plans as we are more focussed on the eating plans for the big birthday and the weekend. Might sling them some cash and send them out to the pub,

Ds just couldn’t be more chilled about results tomorrow. He’s hoping for an A in Higher Music which he crashed, and the same in sound tech but the rest just don’t matter to him. He’s currently playing at the Fringe (Bare Productions, Addams Family) and is as happy as a clam. He’s crashed out in Edinburgh with some of the cast on a sofa somewhere and just loving life. So different to his two older sisters. Both of them graduated from university. He just wants to play guitar. I have never known a youngster so blithely uncaring about exam results!

Don't know about anyone else but I'm definitely more nervous than I was for my own results back in the day. Less than 2 hrs until the long awaited text arrives. He's not had the best year with his mental health, and didn't work as hard as I know he's capable of . Hopefully his last minute push, attending weekend & Easter study groups were enough to get the grades in N5 to start his Highers . He's finally feeling better in himself and I'd hate to see him slip backwards. Prelims went ok , he passed all but one subject. So fingers crossed for at least B's. Good luck to everyone waiting

Well, three hours sleep for me at best. Rather annoyingly, my husband had no difficulty sleeping and is still out for the count.
