So the 6th of August is fast approaching... here is the 2019 thread.

Ds was sitting a mixture of highers and Nat5's. So we'll see what this year brings.

I'm just grateful it's not 2 lots like last year as it was a mare.

Well, three hours sleep for me at best. Rather annoyingly, my husband had no difficulty sleeping and is still out for the count.

Best of luck everyone! Look forward to hearing all your news later this morning.

Careers Adviser here, not looking forward to this moment in a few years time - DC about to go into S1.
Exam results helpline here: 0808 100 8000
Most school careers advisers will be in school this week if DCs want to chat.
Good luck to you all!

sassanach · 06/08/2019 07:13

waves to @weebarra**

Not doing the exam results helpline this year, due to change of role, but always get a lot of texts etc from family, friends and neighbours! Still a few years to go for my DC.

Hope all the parents and pupils slept okay x

FluffytheGoldfish · 06/08/2019 07:15

I have instructions not to disturb her until 8.15 if she is not already awake. I've only been awake since 5.45 (normal alarm time for Dh and I) but went to sleep a lot later than I usually do so got some sleep, better than last year when there was 2 sets of results.

WickedGoodDoge · 06/08/2019 07:25

Good morning everyone! I daren’t wake DS and he’ll probably wake around 10:00-10:30 (last year his grannie broke his slumber at 9:30 to find out how he did- he was not amused!) so hope everyone else is put out of their misery in half an hour or so!

Ffsnosexallowed · 06/08/2019 07:33

If texts start coming out at 8 how long will we realistically have to wait?? What time do least ones come out at?

Aurea · 06/08/2019 07:34

Well that shows how awake I am this morning. Sorry about the multiple posts. It was Mumsnet playing up. - honest!

dementedpixie · 06/08/2019 07:34

My dd doesn't want waking either but she has a habit of sleeping until lunchtime and i can't wait until then! Might have to stomp about a bit

ClerkMaxwell · 06/08/2019 07:35

Good luck to everyone, especially those that have conditional offers riding on the results. I spent 2 hours last night looking at unis with lower grade requirements than Edinburgh/Glasgow just in case it doesn't go well so I can talk them up.

Groovee · 06/08/2019 07:39

@Ffsnosexallowed ds got his as 8am turned round last year and Dd was a few seconds later.

4th year of lying in bed stressing before 8am

IndigoApple · 06/08/2019 07:43

Good luck everyone!

First time for 4 years I'm not waiting for results.

To answer question above, DD's texts arrived bang on 8am last 3 years!

Ffsnosexallowed · 06/08/2019 07:45

Really??? Fuck!

Skyrain · 06/08/2019 07:46

Roll on 8 am. I haven’t slept well either as 2 sets of results to come today. One not as important as he has an unconditional but first set of results for my DD who was a bit uptight last night.

Alittewornout · 06/08/2019 07:47

Re text question Dd got hers at 804am last year. Dry mouth and stomach churning!! This is torture!!! Keep going everyone not long!x

Groovee · 06/08/2019 07:52
