moving to the country w teenagers?

hi there, just wondering if anyone moved to the country from london or another big city when the kids were 12 or so..? bad/good/disastrous? any opinions welcome!

It really depends where you go. I grew up in West Wales. The villages were great- hourly buses, friends nearby, a few clubs. The hamlet- isolating. DH's cousins got moved to the same area age 10 and 12 from a city. They both disliked it.
Look closely at schools too. In my old village kids now have to travel 15 miles to study post-GCSE.

There is rural and rural. As PPs have said it depends on good public’s transport and a nearby town with stuff to do.

Personally I couldn’t think of a worse time to move to the sticks than when your DCs are just entering their teens, but I really live in the sticks.
