Dp does cos its 'part of his job to keep the house clean and tidy and that includes the bins' (to quote him). He is infact the original '50s housewife of that thread .

Cam · 04/08/2005 11:51

Dh takes the bag out of the bin and takes it to the garage to store until dustbin day. But I disinfect the bin. Carrying, he does, but cleaning, god no.

biglips · 04/08/2005 12:04

mmeeeeee! as DP got the worse memory going!!

Tinker · 04/08/2005 12:06

Boyfriend actually asked last night "Why is this my job?"

charliecat · 04/08/2005 12:07

dh does all household things. He thinks I'm a slob - proably true really, I just don't notice things like rubbish/mess until it's all over everywhere - although then I reckon I do a better cleaning job.

MarsLady · 10/08/2005 21:59

DH

moondog · 10/08/2005 22:02

DH When he's away (often),he presnips me little lengths of twine and puts them in a box by the bags for me to make life a bit easier. (He's so sweet.)

Lol at spidermama's knickerless drama!

AppreciateEveryAdviveGiven · 24/05/2011 19:55

I dont I cant bear it

totallylost · 24/05/2011 19:57

I do, I am the only one who does anything in this house.

WishIWasRimaHorton · 24/05/2011 20:04

i always did when i lived with ex. even when heavily pregnant. wheely bin only gets emptied once a fortnight so is vv heavy by then. still didn't mean he ever did it. now that i have moved out, i notice the bins all permanently live on the lane (middle of nowhere, so no-one will complain). assume he trails his rubbish out there and puts it straight in the bins now. or rather, the nanny probably does when she is over there.

anyway i have just put mine out for the week. no great drama.

Bumperlicioso · 24/05/2011 20:06

AppreciateEveryAdviveGiven why are you bumping extremely old threads?

280169 · 24/05/2011 20:16

AppreciateEveryAdviveGiven · 24/05/2011 20:24

Bumper- because I like revisiting the past !! I was a mumsnet member since 2004 !

TotallyUtterlyDesperate · 24/05/2011 20:47

DH and/or DSs always do it. I hardly ever do :)

upahill · 25/05/2011 10:24

usually DH, He moves them before he parks his car making it dificult to bring them down the drive. DS1 and 2 put them back when they get home from school.

JeffTracy · 25/05/2011 10:44

I'm fairly sure the butler does it?

queenceleste · 25/05/2011 10:54

Me, hardly ever dh

garlicbutter · 25/05/2011 11:00

Me. I've training the cat, but she won't do it.

MizzyFizzy · 25/05/2011 11:07

No-one...we don't have a wheelie bin...still on old fashioned dustbins here...which DH takes the black bin bags out of and moves them all of 6ft to the back lane once a week.

From house to dustbin is done by whoever can't jam anything in the bin last...usually me! Grrr!

CroissantNeuf · 25/05/2011 11:08

DP tends to be the one that puts out the main bin for the binmen but more often than not its me that empties the kitchen bin into the outside one
