DH - black bags on pavement here too.... as well as the recycling box. All down to him..... even kitchen bin.

I would say he doesnt clean the bathroom, but he did quite a good job the other day while i was asleep!!!

HappyDaddy · 03/08/2005 20:52

Me.

assumedname · 03/08/2005 21:06

Me, as dh is usually working away.

Unless of course, he's here and the bin's really heavy, in which case it's 'a man's job'.

Twiglett · 03/08/2005 21:07

whoever notices its full first takes the bag out to the wheely bin (so that'll be me usually ).. our bin men come and collect ours and push it back .. there is one luxury to the small front gardens offered by London Victorian houses

Alipiggie · 03/08/2005 21:11

Me as DH is also usually away. And dragging it 200ft up a steep driveway is great fun . The ds's love pushing it back down mind you.

tillykins · 03/08/2005 21:17

my husband - its boy work

KristinaM · 03/08/2005 21:17

Dh does , as its usually really heavy and the drive is gravel, so its hard to push. And I'm pregnant. But I do it if he's away, which is quite a often. Sometimes the neighbours do it for me ( we have lovely neighbours).

I am a bit shocked that anyone's DH/DP would refuse to do this. Its hardly a big deal for most men, is it? ( Don't mean to be sexist - I know lots of women are fitter / more able bodied than their partners) . It sounds a bit petty to me

treacletart · 03/08/2005 21:35

DH always

Tortington · 03/08/2005 21:39

the kids

jamiesam · 03/08/2005 21:46

Dh - except last week when he forgot and I ran out at 6.05am like a banshee and gave the binmen a bit of an eyeful . Dh won't be forgetting again for some time!

Bozza · 03/08/2005 21:54

DH unless he's away which is maybe twice a month for all collections (weekly black, monthly green). Its awkward because it has to be pushed down the path at the side which includes 4 high steps which are only one flag wide which means if you are not careful the wheel ends up stuck between the house wall and the step or the fence and the step - we are detached but not very.

BadHair · 03/08/2005 21:56

Me. Dp has fear of slugs (hee hee) and the side passageway is teeming with them.
He deals with the spiders and big hairy moths when they're around though.

Nemo1977 · 03/08/2005 21:58

both of us depends who remembers.

Tommy · 03/08/2005 22:13

DH
Surely that's what DHs are for?!?

QueenEagle · 03/08/2005 22:18

One of the chores on the list for the children to share is emptying the kitchen bins daily. Whichever child has the chore on bin-collection day puts the wheelie bins out too along with the recycling bags.

BridetobeFlum · 03/08/2005 22:21

Meeeeee DP does not even know what day it goes out. Have not tested him but don't think he is even aware that it happens. its like magic and I am the fairy

whoever is dressed sufficiently to stagger outside

charliecat · 04/08/2005 09:47

Wel dp did do in the end but I did have to say For Christs skae, please dont do this, its not like you have to plead with me to do thing.

Its really sick.

OP posts:
compo · 04/08/2005 09:50

dh always does it

iota · 04/08/2005 09:53

it's supposed to be one of dh's few houshold chores - but I seem to do it quite a lot of the time

shhhh · 04/08/2005 11:25

DH usually does it but that not to say that I never do it...Because I'm a new mum dh is usually up and off to work before I'm dressed.!
Im fact looking at other replies dh is quite domesticated...while I was pregnant he took over all household chores and still helps out now at weekends.. Suppose I must have him well trained .
