Have met a very nice man after being a single parent for years, we are getting on very well and is all new and exciting.I feel like surprising him tomorrow but am aware that often men and women find different things sexy and have no men to ask! can anyone help?

My DP says no knickers. Says she should ask him to guess what kind of undies she is wearing, then tell him the answer is none

netdaddy · 05/09/2009 19:18

Chanel No 5 plus French Nickers,
trust me...I'm a man lol

BerylCole · 05/09/2009 19:20

No knickers is Jordan. A thong isnt very exciting.

I say really lovely, silky French knickers and maybe some silky stockings

TDiddy · 05/09/2009 20:29

I am no prude but I would prefer if deh ladee kept her knickers on. Both options above are unattractive. Normal women are more attrative than those who try too hard.

mathanxiety · 05/09/2009 21:40

I'm with AnyFucker.
Put that on a T shirt

BitOfFun · 05/09/2009 21:51

So, none of the men on the thread are buying my merkin suggestion then?

TDiddy · 05/09/2009 22:23

BoF just digesting the merkin thing....didn't know what it was. Just did a detailed search on the in-laws PC

AvadaKedavra · 05/09/2009 22:28

DH says it depends on what your arse is like....

If I were a man I think just a glimpse of lacy frilly knicks would be rather nice :D

Northernlurker · 05/09/2009 22:35

dh says french knickers or nothing. Seems quite intrigued by the question and has just offered me money to go and buy new underwear

lou33 · 05/09/2009 22:42

based on personal experience i would say they generally prefer the idea of none

AnyFucker · 05/09/2009 22:54

lol math

which bit are you with me on ?

I quite like the idea of the cock ring slipped into the glass of champagne meself..

BitOfFun · 05/09/2009 23:02

I think that was my favourite

WidowWadman · 05/09/2009 23:17

Thongs are a bit common.

skihorse · 06/09/2009 08:37

Sorry, I can't be bothered to read all these messages - but for the love of god will you just pick out a healthy dose of self-respect for yourself?

I don't give a flying fuck what knickers you wear on a date - I really do worry though that you feel you need to ask a bunch of strangers to ask their husbands. Do you keep your self-worth in a bucket on the floor?

If he likes you, he likes you.

HarryB · 06/09/2009 09:07

DH laughed and said "oh jesus christ". Sums it up nicely really

TDiddy · 06/09/2009 10:28

I took this in the spirit of Saturday night light threads but also wondered whether he gave thought to which set of boxers he would wear on the date. Men find both confidence and sometimes vulnerability attractive. So just chill and enjoy the journey.

AnyFucker · 06/09/2009 11:38

hello ?????

I said this very early (wrt self-respect) in the thread and was ignored......

alysonpeaches · 06/09/2009 11:42

Going commando! The excitement of knowing apparently.

TDiddy · 06/09/2009 11:48

yes can be (very) exciting if you are already attracted to that person. Otherwise it could be a turn off. I would have recommended a subtler tease early on. But hey, you will get the attention of your date, one way or the other, if you whisper to him that your are riding commando (Thanks alsonpeaches for reminding us of the technical term )

skihorse · 06/09/2009 12:59

anyfucker yeh, I went back and re-read after I'd posted, wondering if anyone else felt the same as me!

AnyFucker · 06/09/2009 17:23

< high-five back atcha >

although, to be fair, after my righteous indignation at the fact that the OP wasn't considering what she liked and being rather stepford-wifey about the whole thing, it did turn very lighthearted, and that is fine too

I am glad I said what I did though

interestingly, the OP hasn't been back

wonder if the whole thing was some 15 yo boys wank-material

skihorse · 06/09/2009 17:26

The reason she's not been back is because she's engrossed in Cosmo's latest "how to wake him with a blow-job and make him yours 4evah" article.

AnyFucker · 06/09/2009 17:27

yup, think you may be right

arwen · 06/09/2009 20:57

Actually I haven't been back because I have been spending my time with the man in question. No issues of self respect here, just a bit of fun, shame asking for amusing advice always requires someone to come down on you like a ton of bricks but thanks for all the amusing comments.

TDiddy · 06/09/2009 21:27

arwen - you are right, sometimes we struggle to lighten up here, altho I wouldn't say that of Anyfuker and skihorse.
