And have you ever discussed it with current partner.

Springfleurs · 28/04/2009 20:42

About 25 but I have never had a one night stand believe it or not, there was always a few more goes. They were mini relationships I suppose. Always done the dumping apart from once though.

I have discussed it with present partners and it is nearly always a mistake.

For some reason I usually refer to them by what they did or a nickname.

eg The student, the estate agent, the ice hockey player or professional sportsman, the farmer, the soldier and so on.

Wigglesworth · 28/04/2009 20:53

4, but had a long term relationship with a guy from age 16-22, I cheated on him a lot though, mainly with my now DH.

ridingjoker · 28/04/2009 21:07

Six.

Remotew · 28/04/2009 21:54

Lost count, but I have been mostly single for many years. I wouldn't discuss it with a new partner, it's non of his business anyway.

I usually say that its been many years since I've had a one night stand, double figures in years, but I shattered that one a few weeks ago. Don't regret it but will try not to make a habit of it now that I'm approaching middle age

debs05 · 28/04/2009 21:58

one and a half

savageisfat · 29/04/2009 08:26

One. Yes dh knows he was my first but I know I wasn't his first. I used to want to know how many, where, who etc but we were young. Now we're older I appreciate that somethings are better left unsaid and I just don't care!

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2009 12:38

yes we had the chat and we wrote down our number as wanted to be honest and not say a number just to have more/less than oh iyswim

both were 6 so dh was my 7th and i was his

my dad was my mums 1st, but my mum wasnt my dads - i remember when i first stayed ay my dh (then oh) house and my mum looked at me and said dont tell your father - where my dad would say, bye blondes, are you staying at xx, see you tom

though both my parents think my gh was my 1st, and i have never told them different

Kally · 29/04/2009 13:55

I wouldn't want to discuss any sexual escapades with current BF. I was married for 26 years and was loyal throughout. Before I got married I went with about 8 different guys, some longterm and others just fleeting then after the divorce about 4, including the present one. But I wouldn't sit and talk about it with him, I know he wouldn't ask or pry either. What we have now is special between me and him and unique to us. The rest is just in the past and not worth digging about in. What is the point?

Pinkchampagne · 29/04/2009 13:57

8 and yes

howtotellmum · 29/04/2009 14:32

We have never openly discussed it, but I know enough about his steady and fleeting relationships to work it out! He's never asked me but can probably do a similar guestimate.

NewLeaseofLife · 29/04/2009 14:58

About 30ish... DH knows, as does anyone else that has asked, he has slept with quite a few more.
I am open about this kind of thing and dont understand it should be a problem for anyone really.

Supercherry · 29/04/2009 15:23

I am practically a nun compared to some of you on here

We have discussed vaguely but I think it's generally better left in the past.

My experience of men who have slept around has been negative so I find promiscuity a bit of a turn off to be honest.

austinsmam · 30/04/2009 14:48

Do men think more about this, than women?

OP posts:
adadwithnoname · 30/04/2009 16:53

it's never been discussed - I'd hate to know how many she has had - I have had very few for a man (yes, sexist I know, but probably statistically true) - less than a handful, one of which was a bloke (depending on your definition of lover, and it wasn't very nice.... well, you try everything once)

I also know that I am possibly the only man I know who would admit to never having had a whispers blow job

austinsmam · 30/04/2009 16:58

whats a whispers blow job?

OP posts:
northender · 30/04/2009 17:07

5 and yes to the op

snice · 30/04/2009 17:13

Perhaps you eat a Wispa while you're doing it?

abigproblem · 30/04/2009 17:14

2178 no

SallyJayGorce · 30/04/2009 17:15

Not sure - around 15 plus have been with DH for 13 years so all before him. 2 women all the rest men.

oxocube · 30/04/2009 17:15

adadwithnoname, do you mind? (the no blow job that is?) I always assumed it was part of any sexual relationship. I would be very curious and feel I was missing something if I were you (I think!)

oxocube · 30/04/2009 17:17

I read yesterday that about 10 sexual partners is average for a woman in her late 30's

adadwithnoname · 30/04/2009 17:18

ah, oxo - therein lies a tale - I shan't sully this thread with my personal hell, but I suppose I don't know what I'm missing, if you see what I mean. At the time of writing my wife and I haven't so much as kissed in 11 years, so one of those is the last of my worries - see threads passim, as they say in the Private Eye.

sagacious · 30/04/2009 17:20

Has the OP answered the question?
